How long do I wait after microneedling til I can self-tan?

Question

I had microneedling on face and through my scalp/hair, but had planned to dye my hair soon, how long must I wait to do this? Also how long after microneedling can I use fake tan or spray tan?  And how long before I can dye my hair, after scalp microneedling?

Thank you for your questions. There should have been a post treatment hand out given to you. If not than keep in mind that you will peel shortly after the processes. Everyone will peel at a different rate. I would hold off on coloring your hair and doing a self tan until you speak with your provider that performed that treatment. Also some treatments have to be repeated every 4 to 6 weeks.

Hello. I would suggest waiting at least 5 days to make sure you are healed. This should give you enough time that the hair dye and spray tan will not bother the open areas.

You need to wait at least 2-3 weeks after microneedling to use self tan- it is a chemical and you don’t want it to see into your pores and skin and damage it
