hi Katie. You dont have to worry about your jaw - it will be healed and be as good as new. You can safely have botox to thin your masseter and can do everything else normally. regardsDamien

Thank you for your question. I perform this treatment for many patients, probably 50% for facial slimming alone and the other 50% for facial pain in the masseter region or headache triggered by jaw clenching. It is a really effective and very predictable treatment with very little risk and no downtime. There should be no problem in receiving Botox injections after the jaw surgery that you describe. It is important to see a provider who does these injections correctly as it is important to use a different length needle than the standard Botox syringe as it is key to inject into the muscle which is quite deep.
