Last month I had a horrible experience getting a mucocele removed. He hit a blood vessel and caused tissue to die as half of my lip was black. My lip has ended up being smaller with less tissue on one side with an indentation and scar running down it and my mouth doesn’t meet properly. Can this be revised well? Also will my nerves recover? Half of my lip is numb

There is nothing wrong with your lips. I have had patients who did complain of something similar and they underwent a lip reduction. In this procedure excess lip tissue is excised. The scar is placed on the inner aspect of the lips to better hide the scar. I hope you find this information useful.
