Does lip repositioning fix incompetent lips?

Thank you for your question.  Unfortunately without photographs or more extensive narrative as to the cause of your lip incompetence it is difficult to supply definite recommendations and I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon in consultation.

Hello Aleyzailazaro,It is important to determine the cause of the incompetent lips to determine the treatment.  For example is it related to a neurological problem like Bell's palsy or a stroke?  Is it related to a surgery that involved removing part of the muscle of the lip for cancer.  Is it the temporary result of using a neuromodulator.  Is it a result of jaw surgery?  The treatment for all of these is different.  I'd recommend you consult with a facial plastic surgeon to go over what is causing your oral incompetence and determine what the most effective treatment will be.I hope this helps and good luck.
