Yes it is possible for the radio frequency to cause skin burns. It is pretty unlikely as the hand pieces have a temperature sensors in them which monitor the tissue and are effective in preventing it from happening. Treating over an area with scar tissue or an area that is numb increases the possibility of a burn.Fortunately it’s unlikely for these burns to be severe and should heal like any burn in the unlikely event it should occur.
Hi and thanks for your question about Emsculpt Neo.The Emsculpt Neo uses radio frequency energy to heat tissues, specifically fat, to a level just high enough so the cells burst and are cleared away by your lymphatic system. During treatment, you should feel a warming sensation under the paddle in the treated area. The paddles are constantly measuring the temperature of your skin, and adjusting the heat, so that no injury occurs. You should not have any oils or lotions on the skin before treatment, this can increase the risk of slight blisters of the skin. Also, if you sweat a lot during the treatment, your provider should towel the sweat away to avoid blisters. If you do get a blister, it is superficial and will heal on its own, but it's best to keep it loosely covered with Aquaphore to speed healing. I would recommend no further Emsculpt treatments until the skin has healed.Hope this helps!
Hi, Emsculpt Neo can cause burns if the frequency is too high. In our office, If rating 1-10 you reach a 7 in discomfort you should let us know so we can turn the heat down to avoid any potential burn. If you do get a burn you may want to put Aquaphor on it to keep it moist and allow time for healing.
Yes, you can still have EMSCulpt done since it does not treat your internal organs. You probably bled from an ulcer or polyp that was not seen with the scope.
EMSculpt should not be an issue as long as you don't have any metal plates or implants in those areas. I would still confirm with your doctor to make sure that you are good to go, but I don't see any issues with getting EMSculpt after either of those procedures.
Thank you for your questions. Its advised you have your sessions 5-10 days apart for emsculpt. 4 to 6 sessions
