Emsculpt Neo - Time between treatments?

Question

I have received radically different quotes regarding the minimum time between Emsculpt Neo treatments to maximize results. Doctors in NYC seem to space them out 2-3 days. The standard seems to be 5-10 days. But I was also just told by a doctor that to maximize the benefits of the equipment treatments need to be 14 days apart so the thermal energy setting can be maximized (which has an added benefit of skin tightening). What's the truth if you want to maximize all benefits and not waste $?

Emculpt Neo is a first in class technology that builds muscle, burns fat, and reduces abdominal muscle separation. While different aesthetic offices may suggest different treatment schedules, the clinical studies performed support the following: Because Emsculpt Neo is a combination of Radiofrequency and HIFEM technology (magnetic energy) one treatment per week (every 7 days) is recommended. This is to allow your muscles to recover from the radiofrequency. If only Emsculpt is performed, then one can safely do two (2) treatments per week separated by 3 days ideally.

I like the 5-10 day rule with a lean towards 7-10 days for most patients. This timeframe ensures adequate recovery time for the muscles and from the RF thermal energy. Consider Neo treatments as you would any workout...you will have the initial "pump" following the workout, but the lasting results do not typically show up for 4-6 weeks following the treatment package. So, all told, you are looking at a 2-3 month process with adequately spaced treatments, needed recovery (and hydration!), sufficient removal of the adipose tissue from the thermal applicators.

Thank you for your question.  The protocol for the original Emsculpt is to have the treatments done twice a week at least 2-3 days apart.  With the Emsculp NEO, treatments are now done once a week.  With both, treatments are half an hour long.  The Emsculpt NEO has 25% more muscle building and 30% more fat reduction than the original, 4 treatments equaling to 12-14 of high intense workouts.

Traditionally, the treatments are done 4 to 10 days apart, with most being done weekly. With EMSculpt, especially the NEO, there is muscle tightening and fat reduction, but not skin tightening specifically. Your doctor may be using a different type of machine.

Standard is 2-3 days in between treatments. Similar to a workout, your body may need some time in between to recover. Most of my patients wait 2-3 days in between their treatments for optimal results.

For the plain Emsculpt you would need at least 2 days between treatments for your muscles to recover. With the new Emsculpt Neo which combines both HIFEM and RF you would need at least 5-10 days to recover. In our practice we perform one treatment a week. This is the usual timeframe for our RF devices as well. This is what I would recommend for both the muscles to recover and to maximize the RF treatments. Hope that helps!
