How much cartilage is removed for septoplasty?

When performing septoplasty or harvesting the area for grafting material how much cartilage is generally removed? If you take too much would that mean the danger of a perforation or collapse could increase?

If you have not had any bleeding from the nose in the last week, you can apply a spay of saline solution in each nostril, and blow one side at the time, ocluding the other side, and do it very gently. Ask your surgeon for advice.

It would be normal to experience those symptoms after turbinate reduction surgery.  Be careful about bending over as this may increase the risk of serious nose bleeding.  I would not resume sports until released by your doctor.  He/she needs to re-examine you to be sure you are...

 It's important that your surgeon, your neurologist, and anesthesiologist are all aware of the seizure issue. It is also important that the seizures are under control with the 2 medications that are present before  electing to undergo cosmetic surgery.
