Long-term solution to a weak chin? (photos)

Question

I've had two chin implants in the past and both were unsuccessful and I had both removed. I'm hesitant to try a third time due to scar tissue and the less-than-desirable success rate. Other than filler, which doesn't last very long, what are some options to masculinize the lower half of my face and profile? As I get older the sagging, exacerbated by a weak chin, is getting worse and makes me look even older. I'm not trying to look younger, but the best for my age.

A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease.

Perhaps, you need a facial plastic surgeon with more experience in that area. A good surgeon should have a well-trained eye for facial balance and symmetry, something other general plastic surgeons may not possess. Your surgeon should also have the ability to customize the implant to create the ideal shape for your aesthetic goals. If you want a non-surgical approach, there are fillers that last longer than others, giving you longer-lasting results. You may also consider facial fat transfer to restore volume and augment your chin. This option often lasts longer than fillers if it is performed correctly. To determine the best procedure for you, I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Your surgeon can do a proper evaluation of your facial profile, customize the best treatment plan, and ensure the best possible outcome.

Other than trying another chin implant you could try a more permanent filler such as Belafill.
