I have broken capillaries on the sides of my nose. They bother me and sometimes itch. I have had laser treatments but nothing seems to help. Any recommendations as to a specific treatment I should seek? Thank you!

My favorite treatment for these is the 532 KTP diode laser which virtually erases these vessles in a minimal amount of time with no adverse side effects, usually in one or two sessions.

These types of small blood vessels can be stubborn but can be successfully treated in most cases.  We use a variety of different lasers, including 940 nm laser to trace out the individual vessels, intense pulsed light (the BBL), and pulsed dye laser.  For resistant vessels, we will use the pulsed dye laser, but it does cause purpura or bruising for a few days afterwards.  Make sure that you see an experienced laser physician who offers more than one laser for blood vessels.
