Should I still be in severe pain 11 months after my Smart Lipo procedure? (Photos)

What you are describing does not sound as if it is related to your SmartLipo procedure. SmartLipo (or any liposuction) only addresses superficial fat, so unless there were unusual circumstances around your surgery. That being said, it is impossible to diagnose the source of your pain without a thorough examination by a qualified doctor.  Best of luck!

You need to be evaluated by a neurologist or a pain management physician. They should be able to determine if the pain is coming from the back (muscles or bones) or the nerves in the back aftet liposuction was performed. Appropriate treatment should be provided if necessary. If they feel that there was nerve damage, Neurontin should be able to help. Good luck from New York City

Smartlipo is done in the subcutaneous fat area, there is no way that it is going to cause deep back pain-  it does not reach down into the muscle or deep nerve areas. See a neurosurgeon that specializes in backs. it is just coincidental that this occurred after your Smartlipo. david berman md

I am sorry to hear of your unusual complication following smart liposuction. Pain following liposuction usually abates within several weeks. Protracted pain following liposuction may be due to physical or thermal injury to nerve, muscle injury, or organized space occupying seroma or hematoma.  Unfortunately, a single frame of the MRI does not provide enough information. A complete neurologic physical examination is required. 
I recommend a neurological or neurosurgical evaluation. The cause must be determined so that appropriate treatment can be instituted.
