The only person who will know what was done is the provider who performed your treatment. Let them know your concerns and get clarification on what was done. In my practice, BBL treatments usually get progressively more aggressive over the series. The treatment settings will also depend on several factors such as the patient's skin type, products they are currently using, history of previous treatment, etc. Hope this helps,Cheri A. Ong, MD

I wouldn't stop if I was the consumer. The reason that these are sold in series of 3,4,6, etc, is that three of these no-downtime treatments really equal about the same as one downtime treatment and are usually more effective and cost less if you think of the results being spaced out in time.The other reason that these are sold as a series is that every individual responds completely differently, even to the exact same settings based on things like your baseline skin pigment. Settings A could take one person straight to a burn and another patient with a mild reaction like yours. For people like you, your second and third treatments are likely going to be progressively better as long as you share with your provider what your healing was from this treatment.
