What does red breast syndrome look like ?

I had a mastectomy in O6'. I'm on my third set of implants.. Round gel first then gummie style and now a more shaped firmer implant... Problem in red splotchy on both, but the left side of my left breast is really red.. No fever. I'm on antibiotics, but if it doesn't calm down or go away my surgeon said it would need to come out!!!! What?? I think it's red breast syndrome

Red breast syndrome is usually associated with acellular dermal matrix (Alloderm, strattice, etc) more than with the actual implants.  It's a delayed hypersensitivity reaction and usually involves the part of the breast that overlies the Alloderm.  It could also be completely unrelated to the Alloderm and could represent a late infection.  It sounds like your surgeon is following you closely.  Ask him or her what they think about red breast syndrome when you see him/her again.
