How long will hair shedding continue after stopping a drug that induced telogen effluvium?

I have drug-induced telogen effluvium (clonazepam), and my hair has been shedding for 11 months. I'm nearly weaned off clonazepam now, and wanted to know when I can expect the shedding to stop. Also, if I continue taking it once or twice a week, will the shedding continue? The doctors aren't sure it's from the clonazepam, but that's the best guess. Thanks!

You should not be managing your medication.  Hopefully you have found a board certified dermatologist who specializes in treating hair loss.  You should schedule a follow up visit with your physician to discuss your results (who ordered the blood test?) and your options...

After one week there is nothing to see when you take finasteride. You have to be on this medication at least a year to see value
