We use the Cutera Enlighten 3 for Pico Genesis which works especially well on darker skin tones. This laser is safe and effective on all skin tones. We recommend 1-2 treatments for all skin tones to remove hyperpigmentation such as melasma, sun damage, uneven skin tone, freckles, age spots, and red/brown spots.

Actually, Pico laser targets melanin and has secondary collagen regeneration. This means, if performed correctly it works better in skin of colour as there is more melanin. This laser is one of the hardest lasers to perfect, as each patient will have a unique amount of target. The upside? Virtually no downtime.
