The Exilis Elite is the newer hybrid treatment modality which simultaneously utilizes radiofrequency and ultrasound energy to heat and tighten the skin. It works not only on the face, but on the body as well. It is very effective in achieving expected outcomes, however its very important that patients be well hydrated before the treatment. I advise patients to drink plenty of water before and after each treatment. Exilis is usually performed in a series of 3-6 treatments one to two weeks apart, depending on the amount of laxity present, the patients age, and general health status. It is less painful than Ulthera and easier to tolerate. Ulthera utilizes high-focused ultrasound and is also very effective. Unlike Exilis, Ulthera requires some medication to make the treatment comfortable.
`Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. Depending on the area of concern, Exilis requires a series of treatments every 7-10 days. Once the treatment plan is completed, results will continue to improve over the course of 3 months. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
Exilis Ultra 360 combines radio frequency and ultrasound which does beautifully to tighten sagging skin. Each treatment lasts about an hour and is very comfortable. It is recommended to have around 4 treatments to obtain amazing results.
Exilis is an evolving technology that tightens the skin in a comfortable fashion but takes 3 to 6 treatments, each about an hour, to see the best results. The newest machine, Exilis Ultra 360, combines both radiofrequency and high frequency ultrasound to give a very good, comfortable, effective and safe treatment. The Ulthera device uses focused high frequency ultrasound (a small difference from the Exilis). It is certainly more painful and has a small risk of nerve damage which the Exilis does not have. Most patients are told that one Ulthera treatment will be enough.I have been doing radiofrequency treatments for over 12 years, first with 2 different Thermage machines and then with each generation of Exilis (now the fourth generation) so we have a lot of experience with this technology. In my office we use the newest Exilis Ultra 360 and have had very nice results.
We have been a fan of Exilis for skin tightening for seven years. The most up-to-date model of Exilis is the Exilis Ultra, which has both radiofrequency and ultrasound tightening. While results improve with each treatment, we feel that each procedure gives a measurable result, especially the Ultra model. This is a great choice for skin tightening. All the best, Dr. Sawyer
Hi there. I see a couple of problems doing these procedures on the same day, but if you let a few days go by it will be fine. Doing Exilis Ultra and then dermapen may cause more pinpoint bleeding from the dermapen. I typically stay away from laser hair removal and Exilis on...
Thank you for your question regarding the Exilis Ultra treatment! We love this procedure for treating submental fat areas also know as the infamous 'double chin'. We tell our patients that it is best to wait two weeks between any facial Exilis treatments. It is okay to do them every week but we...
I believe the answer to this is to treat every 1-2 months until you have achieved the skin tightening you desire, then treat quarterly (every 3 mos) after that to maintain your result. We often use our Exilis Ultra to maintain our Ulthera results. These make a fantastic combination. Great...
The treatment time for exilis depends on what the goal is. If it is just to tighten skin than 15 mins should be adequate. The important thing is that the tissue is brought up to a certain temperature and kept at that temperature for a period of time. The time it takes to get to the correct ...
Initially you get tightening and swelling because of the heat that was placed in the tissue. This will eventually dissipate. The final results will be seen 3-6 months after your final treatment when the tissue has had a chance to remodel.
Exilis Ultra has two different treatments built into the same machine. The machine can be set to just tighten skin with either a large body type handpiece or for smaller face areas and decollete with a smaller handpiece. The larger handpiece can also cool the skin which drives the heat energy...
