The transplanted hair in my eyebrows is growing in the wrong direction. Will it get better?

You can help the direction of the hair growing, although it is all about placement you can train the hairs. I advise my patients to put on a little bit of Petroleum jelly and comb the brows in the direction they want and sleep with a headband pressing down on them. Doing this for you may take a little longer especially since a year out, but it will help taming the hairs. Best,Dr. Anil Shah, MD FACS

It is imperative to have an eyebrow transplant with an experienced hair restoration surgeon because the direction and angle must be perfect at the beginning. Unfortunately, your eyebrow hair direction is permanent and I understand why you are not happy. The hair will also grow at the same rate as scalp hair and will need to be trimmed often.  To correct this, you may need to have the aberrant hairs removed or electrolysis performed.

If the surgeon put them in wrong, the direction is permanent.  The long eyebrow is because it was taken from the scalp and therefore is growing like scalp hair.  This is all permanent.
