Liposuction should be safe for you two years after your tummy tuck, but it may not be effective. There are two types of fat in the human body; visceral fat and subcutaneous fat. Subcutaneous fat lies just under the skin. This is the fat that lipo and tummy tucks can both remove. Visceral fat is deeper and protects your internal organs. Neither a lipo procedure nor a tummy tuck revision will remove visceral fat. It’s true that weight loss is the sole solution to visceral fat.
The only way to know what you’re working with is to schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon. It sounds like you have done this but aren’t entirely confident in his assessment. In that case, I would recommend a second or even third opinion. A second opinion is never a bad idea, and it's vital that you work with a surgeon who you trust and feel comfortable with.
