Deviated tip 6 months after rhinoplasty. Do you think it will get better? (Photo)

Question

I did my surgery back in August it’s 6 months now and since the day my tape fall down I noticed that my nose is shifted to the left it looks worse than before the surgery. I have contacted my surgeon but never got a clear answer. It got better by time, but now it is more noticeable from the bottom, as well my nostrils are completely uneven my surgeon said that it was shifted after surgery but I didn’t injure my nose and follow the instructions, do you think it will get better now?

We always advise our patients that the base view of the nose is least important, and in general, subtle changes may be seen at the nasal base from 6 months to 1 year postop. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Considering that your current deformity is not that significant to require immediate revision, I would suggest waiting another 6 months for result to mature completely. I do not expect that waiting will improve your current condition, but it will make revision surgery safer with less scarring and postoperative swelling, etc. Second opinion consultation with another board certified plastic surgeon, expert in rhinoplasty, is recommended.
