Aviclear and facial hair?

Question

I'm 33-year-old man who suffers from cystic acne. I've had a beard consistently since I was 19, and don't see myself being clean-shaven any time in the future. If I were to undergo treatment with the Aviclear laser, would I have to shave? And if I were to treat hair-growing areas, will there be any negative effect on hair growth or density? I know that certain lasers are used to discourage hair growth in unwanted areas.

Hello,
Before starting treatment sessions, you must shave. Hair on the skin's surface prevents laser light from penetrating the skin's depths, where oil glands are located. In addition, if the skin and laser head are not perfectly attached, the handpiece will not fire the laser.
Aviclear laser is FDA approved and has no negative effects on hair growth based on large scale studies already have been done.
