Extreme redness on skin after 12.5% TCA peel from makeup artist choice

I did a at home TCA peel of 12.5% and my skin became extremely dry and wrinkly but never peeled it only flaked off when i was washing my face. Its been only 5 days but my skin seems to be exttremeey red and i dont know what to do. Is this normal ? I really want too visit a dermag but cant really find a gooof and affordable one nearby.

Hi Jen, I completely understand why you are wanting to find a way around the Vaseline/aquaphor step, but, absolutely not! Post-peel/laser induction of acne in acne-prone skin is common and should most definitely be avoided. . . However, using grape seed or jojoba oil is not the solution. ...

Hello, the first endpoint for a TCA peel is redness you are able to continue another layer of the peel until frosting. The redness is normal for post peel reaction and should begin to subside in the next few days. Make sure you are hydrating and using SPF.
