4 days post porcelain veneers, I think they may be too tight, will I need to replace them?

4 days ago I got 2 veneers, one on each side of my 2 front teeth. These veneers replaced some old discolored bonding and make up for a few small gaps of space. The veneers look great, however, whenever I chew, I feel like the veneers press into my two front teeth. Pressure, not pain, but not comfortable and not natural. I can floss fine between my teeth (I was thinking they may be too tight?) My dentist has already made a bite adjustment. I am going in for another appt tomorrow.

Hi:It’s best to voice your concern to your dentist in the next appointment. Normally veneers can easily be adjusted not to feel tight with out the need to replace them.Best,Dr. Maddahi

If the pressure is more than there should be, teeth will "orthodontically" move to a more neutral position, much how braces work.  Another option could be to use "abrasive floss" (our polishing strips are essentially sandpaper on thin plastic strips) to relieve pressure.  However, do too much and you will have a gap between teeth that can only be overcome by replacing the veneers.Replacing them MAY be the solution, but you may end up with the same result.  I would give it a few weeks before doing anything at all.
