Hi I am interested in a breast reduction. I've had back and neck pains for years and I have extremely heavy pendular breasts. I am a 42j (band size is 42 bust size 52). My question is, can I reasonably get down to a DDD or a DD through breast reduction?
Answer: J cup down to DD cup Great question! With your symptoms, you could be a good candidate for a breast reduction surgery. Yes it is possible to get your breast size down to a DD or DDD. There are many different ways to perform a breast reduction. In your situation, there will need to be a significant size reduction which is possible. However, with the photos sent, it is hard to assess what type needs to be performed as your bra and clothing is providing support. Only with an in person consultation and proper physical examination can an appropriate recommendation be provided.Best of luck and hope this information helps!- Dr. Roger Tsai @DrRogerTsai

CONTACT NOW Answer: Breast Reduction/Breast lift / Breast Augmentation/ Breast Implants/ Anatomic Gummy Bear Implants/ Silicone Implants I appreciate your question. I perform a liposuction breast lift that removes tissue from the areas you don't want such as near the armpit and the lower portion hanging near your stomach. Once I use this to shape the breast I then remove the skin to tighten the breast and create a better shape with nice cleavage. Since I perform this less invasively the recovery time is faster. The size would depend on the proportion with your body versus going for a cup size. It works very well if there are asymmetries. I can also use the removed fat as a natural breast augmentation by grafting the fat back into the breast to create more projection or into the top to create more cleavage. This procedure can also be combined with an implant if needed or wanted. It should not affect nipple sensation, mammograms, cancer risk or breast-feeding. If you gain or lose weight, the transferred fat can do the same. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. Best of luck! Dr. Schwartz Board Certified Plastic Surgeon #RealSelf100Surgeon #RealSelfCORESurgeon

Answer: Breast Reduction Hello,Although all the respondents gleefully have said yes you can, the truth is NO ONE can predict what bra cup size you would be after breast reduction. Like augmentation, there is no correlation between weight of breast tissue removed and cup size. It's a pure guess. Rather than focus on bras, go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeon who specialize in cosmetic breast surgery. While there during the physical exam, you can visualize how much tissue your surgeon estimates he'll remove. Best of luck!

Answer: I am a 42j, could I get down to a DDD or a DD with breast reduction? Thank you for your pictures and questions. Pictures without clothes would be more helpful as supported pictures in bras and clothing do not show the true picture. In the photos, you breasts do not appear much larger than a DDD. So the question really becomes how much tissue would need to be removed to help your symptoms? It is very reasonable to maintain a breast size that matches your frame. Make sure you see a local plastic surgeon who is board certified by the ABPS for a consultation. Best of luck!
