Is Smartlipo the best procedure for my double chin? What should I expect to pay? (photos)

I feel I should address two major concerns that I had from reading your question. The first is the nature of non-invasive treatments and secondly looking at deals that offer treatments for you cheaper.
Firstly, all forms of liposuction are invasive. Whether this is traditional liposuction, vaser, smart lipo or promeltor, the overall procedure is one where instruments are used inside you therefore this is invasive.
Secondly, when looking at treatments, although cost is definitely a consideration, you should not have your procedure on the basis that this is the cheaper option. It might be cheaper but not the correct option and leave you with not only a sub-standard result but also a result that you do not like and then need to spend more money correcting the subsequent problem. You would then need to pay even more than what you would originally have had to because now the area has scarring and swelling and is more complicated to sort out. Therefore, for this I would really consider the treatments first and find out as much about the procedures that are right for you and then look at the prices.
In our clinic, we do a lot of facelifts and necklifts under local anaesthetic (Concept facelift) and do see a huge number of patients with similar concerns to yourself. In the younger patients, with good quality skin, liposuction alone works very well. we have used standard liposuction and achieved very good results with this. In some patients, once they are assessed, we can tell with the quality of their skin that, liposuction alone will not be of use as there is also a degree of skin laxity that needs to be addressed and therefore in these patients liposuction alone will not suffice.
In looking for the correct answer for you I would advise to seek someone who will explain all the procedures possible for you and why one would be better than the other. Not just that this one is cheaper so do it.
Treatments such as smart lipo/ vaser and promeltor can work very well in this area but again it depends on your overall skin quality. With your description and age, I think this would work well with you.

The best way to provide true advice on what is right for you, would be an in-person consultation with an expert. I would caution that it is very important that you see an expert provider with significant experience in aesthetic body contouring because there are many different treatment options to address stubborn fat under the chin, from completely non-invasive to minimally invasive. You may be a good candidate for Precision TX. Precision is similar to Smartlipo, same laser device. Precision focuses on the uppper and lower neck as well as jowls. If you're a good candidate this is a nice procedure for contouring under the chin area. The laser heats and melts fat while tightening skin, then the fat is suctioned. After suctioning fat the laser is used one more time to tighten skin in the neck/submental/jowl area. Honestly I would stay away from Groupon and focus your search for a good board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck to you!

Smart Lipo is excellent for under the chin. It can be performed awake, under local in about a half hour or less by a board certified plastic surgeon for best results.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to discuss your options and expectations. 

Smartlipo is great for under the chin.  It helps with fat removal and can even tighten the skin a little in that area.  The pictures show a little extra fat.  There doesn't appear to be much extra skin.  Smartlipo can be helpful for that type of patient.  The procedure is invasive in that there is an incision, but it can often be done under local anesthesia where the patient can drive themselves home afterwards.  The results are always dependent on the skill of the doctor.  I would stay away from "cosmetic surgery chains" that offer discounts for procedures.  Places like that tend to hustle patients to a procedure.  They also contract with doctors to work at their clinics and that ends up being doctors who can't develop a practice on their own skill/reputation or who are winding down in their career.  It's always best to consult with a  physician who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Best of luck.

Dear Kashaa,Thank you for your pictures.  It appears that you may a reasonable candidate for Smarlipo®.  Smartlipo® is a surgical procedure thus it is an invasive procedure.  It is not a major operation.  It can be performed with sedation (twilight) and local anesthesia or local anesthesia alone.  The cost may vary depending on the type of physician that you see, the physician's level of experience and geographic area.  In my opinion it is best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes

Smartlipo is a minimally invasive procedure with very short downtime! It is great at removing the stubborn fat under the chin and shaping the jawline that you always wanted! Cost will vary, but you could expect to pay $1500 - $2500 to treat a double chin/jaw line.Everything is done under local anesthesia. You will see your best results at 90 days. There is a healing process involved but it is well worth it! The up to date laser will also tighten the skin in those areas and it will look amazing! The laser also destroys 60-70% of the fat cells!
