You have a large amount of loose skin in addition to fat. Lipo will leave you with more loose skin and might wrinkle as well. Consider doing a brachioplasty at the same time.
Circumferential liposuction requires a 4D approach and needs a specialist. For best results, I suggest only seeing a VASER hi def body contouring expert for this type of treatment.Cost will vary. Best, Dr. Emer.
In my over the internet opinion you ARE NOT a candidate for SmartLipo or any lipo upon your arms. To much excess skin is seen in the posted photos. Sorry. You would be best served with excision brachioplasy. But scar consideration MUST be understood.
Thank you for your question and photographs.Cost varies based on location, surgeon and number of sites being treated. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to have a physical examination of your arms performed because based on the photos you submitted; it appears you may be a better candidate for an arm lift due to excessive loose skin. Best of luck in your endeavors.Sincerely,James Fernau, MD, FACSBoard Certified ENTBoard Certified Plastic SurgeryMember of ASPS, ASAPS, ISAPS, The Rhinoplasty Society, AAFPRS, OTO/HNS, ASLMS, International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics & Science
Cost will vary depending on the geographic location, physician, etc. But cost alone should not be your deciding factor. Look for someone with good experience.Smart lipo will reduce the size of your arms, but based on your pictures you could end up with a lot of loose skin/ wrinkling. This may bother you wearing sleevless shirts.Brachioplasty with or without liposuction is another option to remove the skin and fat. This does leave a scar down the length of the arm, but can be hidden depending on arm position. Your best bet is to consult with a board certified physician with aesthetic experience who can offer several modalities of treatment. This way they can go through the positive and negative of each one.Best luck to you to you.Dr. Powell
First of all I think your surgeon is the best person to answer all your concerns. having said that, its too early to say anything about your final outcome. it takes months to see results form SmartLipo. for my patients who are seeking arm definition on a short notice I prefer not to use ...
Hi & thank you for your question. Smart lipo is and option for almost all age groups. It is minimally invasive and you are up and about much quicker. A day or two and you can return to work. Check with your surgeon for any pre operative testing that he or she may require. I recommend...
Whomever was aghast was also ignorant of the pharmacodynamics of lidocaine. Lidocaine is fat soluble. That means it attaches to fat cells and nerve sheaths immediately, then gets absorbed slowly by your blood stream where it travels through your liver and eventually gets excreted. The process...
If your surgeon is relying on the laser energy alone to "melt" the fat and have it absorbed, it may take up to 12 weeks to see results. This however is an unusual technique as aspiration is usually performed with Smart Lipo. Using aspiration, some result is immediate with final results o...
Absolutely previous incisions can be used. However, different surgeons prefer different angles and sites, but if it's the same surgeon, they will likely use the same incisions. Your surgeon should use as many incisions as needed to achieve the best result. In my experience, those 2-3mm in...
I use a combination approach to get the best outcome. I find that Ultrasound (VASER) does much more for tightening than laser. Water assisted lipo is great for fat harvesting but not for fat removal. Best, Dr. Emer.
