Invisalign Impressions :The orthodontist I want to use does not have iTero Scanner. What options do I have?

In the Houston area, I refer all of my patients to an imaging center. There, digital models are made as well as the photos and a lateral cephalometric xray. I can't imagine going back to in mouth impressions. The accuracy of the scan is almost 100%. So find a dentist that scans or perhaps there is an imaging center in your area. Also, the iTero is not the only scanner on the market. 

Regular dental impressions taken with silicone impression material work just fine.  The doctor sends them in by UPS  and they are scanned by a fancy CT scanner in Texas to create the digital file.  Adds about two days to the process of getting your aligners and the impressions only take about 10 minutes.  The scan will take 30 or 40 minutes in most cases.

I am in Tukwila and use iTero. If they are ok working with me, I would be happy to help. You are correct, there would be an additional fee, but will be worth it. No gag!
