Answer: Cracked tooth fix Hello,You do have a couple of options. One is to replace the old bonding with a new one. The composite or white filling material is used to replace the cracked part. The material gets bonded to the tooth. To make this bonding stronger, the dentist would have to roughen up an area of the tooth that he wants to place the bonding. The bonding might get dull after a while and would need to be polished or replaced. Your other option is a porcelain veneer. To place a veneer, the dentist would need to remove more of your healthy tooth structure and the veneers for the front teeth would look much nicer done for both of your front teeth at the same time and that would also require more removal of enamel. Porcelain veneers stay shiny and don't get dull with time. Remember , there is always the possibility of getting cavities under any restoration ( bonding or veneer). In conclusion, I would recommend replacing the bonding first since it is a more conservative option and see how you like the results. Hope this helps !

Answer: Bonding can be replaced Bonding can be re-done to match the color of your natural tooth. If you'd like your teeth whiter, it would be a good idea to bleach before re-doing the bonding so that the color matches better. It is difficult to gauge the size of the filling by the picture, but sometimes when the bonding is very large, it may be better to veneer or crown the tooth for better long-term stability. It doesn't hurt to try to do bonding first, and if you're unhappy with the results, discuss your options with a dentist.
