2.3 weeks post op otoplasty Excellent aesthetic result but I’m concerned my swelling upper part of ear hasn’t settled. Looks like hematoma? Same swelling from the start but I thought would have settled by now Still very tender and itchy. Thank you

Discolouration often accompanies a hematoma, however the swollen part of your ears doesn’t appear to be discoloured. However, it would be best to see your surgeon for an assessment.

Form your photos I doubt this is a hematoma.  However, the only way to know for sure is to follow up with your surgeon.  The appearance in your photos seems to normal postoperative swelling.  Lateral/anterior ear skin is VERY think without any underlying fat.  Swelling can last for weeks (6-8), and ultimately all surgical healing in the face can take a full year to be complete.  Please be patient, enjoy your new ear shape, follow your surgeon's postop instructions to keep them in good position and healing well, and follow up with her or him to discuss your concerns.Congrats on your new ears!
