Hello. I am 55 years old and wondering if I am a good candidate for lipo360 and; a BBL? I am 5'1" and 115 pounds. I'm wanting some lift and projection. (Photos)
Answer: Bbl candidate There is no true lift with fat graft augmentation of the buttocks. However, liposuction of the areas above buttocks and augmentation of the mostly central aspect of buttocks gives visual impression of the lift. You seem to be a good candidate for liposuction of torso and buttock/hip augmentation with fat grafts in the bands of an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who performs this procedure frequently. Good luck.

Answer: BBL with lipo 360 Dear Georgia, You look to be a great candidate for a BBL with lipo 360, or at least lipo of the flanks and upper back. Seek consultation with an American Board of Plastic Surgery board certified plastic surgeon for an examination and discussion of your options. Good luck!

Answer: BBL candidate Thank you for including quality pictures. Based on those I think you would do well with a BBL. Especially removing fat from your love handles to emphasize an S curv a.k.a. Coke bottle a.k.a. hourglass, feminine figure. Generally speaking, younger people do better with both Liposuction and fed transfer because of their increased skin elasticity. Still, I think many of the issues regarding your contour is directly related to fat distribution, which is exactly what Liposuction and fat transfer fixes. Finding the right provider for this kind of work is not easy or straightforward at all. There are major differences among plastic surgeons regardless of credentials, years of experience, and overall positive ratings. Delivering consistent quality, Liposuction and fed transfer results is much more difficult than most people realize. When reviewing results always confirm the timeframe of when after pictures were taken. Transfer results can look very impressive but do not in anyway represent final results. Always confirmed that after pictures were taken at least 3 to 6 months from the date of surgery. Never assume. to find the right provider I suggest patience scheduled multiple in person consultations with providers in your community who seem to have a lot of experience with this procedure. I generally recommend people avoid virtual consultations whenever possible. Being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of the providers career may be insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider What your results are likely to look like or how many of these procedures that surgeon has actually done. And experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients for commonly performed procedures. Bring pictures of your own body, preferably imprinted format to use as reference during the consultation. Especially when reviewing before and after pictures. Do not rely on memory, or looking in the mirror For comparison. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. The more consultations you scheduled the more likely you are to find the better provider for your needs. The biggest mistake. Patient is scheduling only one consultation and then scheduling surgery. Scheduling only one consultation, more or less eliminates ability to choose the better provider. I do not think Surgeons can be properly vetted using the Internet. Likewise plastic surgeons cannot give you an accurate assessment without an examination. The second biggest mistake patients make is assuming that plastic surgeons, board certification, years of experience, and overall good reputation means that they have mastered most plastic surgical procedures. This is simply not true. Understanding your own candidacy for the procedure and provider selection of the two single most important variables in quality plastic surgery outcomes. There isn’t much you can do about your own candidacy, but would you do have control of his provider selection. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of spending the significant amount of time and effort having multiple in person consultations with plastic surgeons before selecting a provider. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons is during the vetting process before you schedule surgery. The outcome of these procedures is permanent and reversible. I’ve done poorly people can be left disfigured. Correcting poorly down the most option is very difficult and often not possible. In my opinion, having four or five consultations is probably a minimum before selecting a provider for something that’s going to permanently and irreversibly change your body. Find the right plastic surgeon and everything falls into place. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom, MD
