I inject people every 4 weeks.For most, but the time i see them for the second injection at a month the keloid usually appears softer and the itching has subsided.Not always the case though....Hope this helps!dr schwartz
Steroid injections typically take away the itching from a keloid almost immediately. Also, when you do scratch at them, the burning sensation seems to go away after the injection. However, the decrease in size of the keloid takes a few weeks. That is one of the reasons we don't like to inject them more than once each month.Good Luck!
