I've seen some articles online about doctors using AgnesRF for reducing chin, neck, jawline, and jowl fat non-invasively. Unfortunately, RealSelf does not have an Agnes RF specific page and combines it with other microneedling procedures meant for skin. How do you find a qualified doctor for Agnes fat reduction and face sculpting? Do you recommend it for this purpose? What would make someone an ideal candidate for this sort of application of Agnes? Thank you!!
Answer: Submental/Chin fat reduction with Radiofrequency needling devices The question is whether AgnesRF is a good choice for reduction of submental/chin/neck fat. There are many Radiofrequency needling devices currently on the market. Their purpose is to tighten and lift tissue. They are not all identical, but they do function in a similar manner. The device platform is put onto the skin, multiple needles come out of the tip, puncture through the skin, and then RF energy (heat) is released from the needle tips. The needles retract, the platform is moved and the process is repeated across the entire treatment area. The platform is square and roughly the diameter of a penny for most. Some of these devices (Morpheus 8) have the ability to insert the needles deeper - which will reach the fat. Personally, I do not reach for my RF needling device (I have two of them) as the front line option for submental fat reduction. I recommend that you see a doctor who has all the options for removing fat. That includes LIPOSUCTION, Kybella, Coolsculpting or Trusculpt, and RF needling devices. If you see a provider who only has one or two options - they may ONLY offer you those options. Liposuction remains the gold standard for fat reduction in the submental area. I like to combine liposuction with a tightening device like Ultherapy or RF microneedling. Facetite is also a great addition for someone who has excess fat and loose skin. If you decide against liposuction (for any reason), my next recommendation is Coolsculpting or Trusculpt (more effective than RF needling devices). After that, I recommend a series of RF needling or Kybella. It is almost guaranteed that you will need at least 3 or 4 treatments to reach a good endpoint because these devices are not as good at removing fat.

Answer: AGNES RF for Submental Fat Reduction Thanks for your question. RF microneedling that goes to an adequate depth, such as AGNES, can dissolve unwanted fat cells in a region such as the submental zone. We have performed this treatment for a few years and have had good results with it. It does usually take more than one session to achieve the desired results, which develop gradually over time. You can have it done every 6 or more weeks for a few sessions, then watch the area remodel for about 6 months. Another option would be Morpheus8 which is also RF microneedling but the ability to go to deeper depths than is possible with the AGNES RF. Morpheus8 can thus get the job done faster and likely in fewer sessions. Neither procedure manually extracts fat cells, which is liposuction. If there is a larger than average collection of fat in the submentum, targeted liposuction combined with a skin tightening procedure such as Morpheus8 can produce very impressive results. Regarding selecting a provider, look at things like years of experience in the field, client testimonials, and their before and after photos for the specific procedures you are interested in. I hope that is helpful to you!

Answer: Agnes RF Hello Imaginative117749, thank you for this important question! We LOVE the Agnes RF device. In our practice we use it for so many applications, including fat reduction and facial sculpting. It is also very common to use this device in conjunction with full-face RF-microneedling due to their complementary nature (the results are even better with both). At our office we do a very thorough evaluation of patients who come to us requesting this or any other service. We are not only looking at the area in question, but at the entire face to determine the cause of the issue and the best treatment or series of treatments for that particular patient. If they have enough laxity or fat tissue for the Agnes we will add that to the treatment plan. If you are searching for practices in your area, make sure they are doing a proper evaluation rather than just recommending treatments. Best of luck in your search! Sincerely, Genie Alexander, RN BSN for Dr. Anna Petropoulos, MD FRCS, Center for Classic Beauty and New England Facial and Cosmetic Surgery Center Back Bay & Danvers, MA

Answer: RF for fat reduction and face sculpting Much more information is needed, such as your height, weight, and a full set of facial and neck photographs from all angles too make a determination about how best to proceed with the most appropriate procedure. It's also important to understand that in the neck there are two compartments of fat, and they're located both above and below the platysma muscle in the neck itself.
