I agree with Dr. Grossman. The reaction you had is improbably not an allergic reaction but simply the result of using the wrong filler with the wrong technique. He is correct that fat grafting can solve the problem. However, in expert hands, an off the shelf filler can also work. In the under eye I use Juvederm Voluma deep below the ligament. This corrects the under eye and also improves the nasolabial fold to such a point that I rarely inject it. The Voluma also lasts 2.5-5 years. There are also non hyaluronic acid fillers that work there as well, though you probably do not need to switch. Make sure whomever you see is a true expert in the area since well over 90% of injectors treat this area incorrectly.
