i had twins 2 months ago. they were each 6 pounds so they wreaked havoc on my abdomen. im left with stretch marks. what would be an appropriate fix? im only 20 years old i dont want to live looking like this for the rest of my life.
Answer: 20 year old tummy tuck
You are in fantastic physical shape after the twins! Congratulations. The picture you sent in is not great but I think I can see your stretch marks and they seem to extend well above the belly button. A tummy tuck will only get rid of those stretch marks that are below the belly button. Those that are above will still be there but will be much lower in location. In order to know whether or not you have enough extra skin in order to have a tummy tuck an exam is necessary as it is not obvious from these photos.

Answer: Mini Tummy Tuck or Short Scar Tummy Tuck
You do appear to have good muscle tone and little loose skin. However, you need an exam to say for sure. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of these tummy tuck procedures each year. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Answer: Stretch marks after childbearing. Congratulations on the birth of your children. Thank you for your inquiry and for your photograph. Unfortunately, the photographic is a little bit difficult to see. It seems as though that you have stretch marks in the lower and mid abdomen. Unfortunately I do not feel that there are any terrific nonsurgical options for stretch marks. While people have tried to address stretch marks with lasers I feel the results are mixed at best. It is possible that tummy tuck may offer some improvement but you would need two see a a board certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated. Your degree of skin laxity and muscle relaxation cannot be evaluated from the pictures. I hope this helps put you in the right direction.

Answer: Tummy Tuck After Twin Pregnancy?
Thank you for the question and picture.
Congratulations on your twin pregnancy; you should be proud of having “bounced back” so nicely, despite the increased responsibility and probable lack of sleep!
Although your frustration regarding the stretch marks is understandable, be careful that you do not waste a lot of time and/or resources on modalities such as laser surgery, thermage, cool sculpting (none of these modalities will be helpful for patients in your situation).
Also, in addition to the stretch marks, you are likely dealing with significant “spreading” of the abdominal wall muscles that can be especially troublesome after twin pregnancy. This can be a nuisance especially when you are flexed/bent at the waist.
Although I would not venture to give you advice based on the limited information provided, generally speaking, the “ideal” patient for tummy tuck surgery is one who has completed pregnancies, is psycho socially/emotionally/financially stable, has an excellent social support system surrounding him/her, is capable of arranging enough recovery time and who has reached a long-term stable weight.
At some point, you may benefit from in-person consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience helping patients in your situation.
Best wishes.

Answer: Abdomen after twins
I'm not exactly sure what you don't like. I'm guessing there are a gazillion women that would want to look like you even without having children! I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. That being said it's not about everyone else but rather about you. So if there is something that you don't like I would certainly support you in trying to do something about it. It does not appear the you need any surgery so I would look into non-surgical ways to reduce small areas of fat (Coolsculpting, ultrasound), and tighten the skin (various lasers). Good luck.
