I had a brazilian butt lift (fat injections to my butt) about 2 1/2 mos ago. Most of the fat was injected in the upper region of my butt cheeks. My waist and lower back were lipo'ed as well so there is improvement in projection but it slopes down in the lower third region. Can more fat at a touch up or addtional procedure be injected directly in the middle and lower regions to get a more rounded bubble butt look without sagginess devloping? I had about 360ccs in each cheek. I am 5'9 and weighed in at 161lbs the day of my surgery.
Answer: Fat injections in lower buttocks can be done Yes. Most definitely. You can have additional fat injected into your buttocks. I have had a couple of patients who were so happy with their results that they came back a year or two later and had it done a second time to get an even larger, more dramatic enhancement. The timing of when is best to have it repeated is a great question. If you think you might be happy with the size of your buttocks in general if the top area wasn't so prominent, then you should probably wait at least 6 months, as this area will definitely decrease in size for about the first 3 months, then the remaining fat will likely settle down, or (I hate to use this word) "droop" within your buttocks, causing less fullness up high and more fullness slightly lower. This can take 6 months to a year. Again, I'm not saying that your buttocks is going to droop, just the fullness will likely a little lower in a year. If you are hoping to be even larger all over, having this procedure repeated earlier would likely provide an even Greater percentage of the fat to survive due to the increased vascularity during the first few months after your first surgery. There really in no "Correct" time to have this repeated if that's what you are looking for.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.

Answer: You may want to wait 3-6 months before a secondary procedure... It’s not unusual for Brazilian butt lift patients to request additional fat injections following their original procedure. The vast majority of these patients are happy with their results but want even more rounding and projection of the buttocks. When this situation arises additional fat grafting can be undertaken as long as sufficient donor sites are present. We generally recommend waiting 3 to 6 months before proceeding with secondary procedures. At this point, the surviving fat cells have re-established blood supply and the soft tissue swelling has usually resolved.Under these circumstances aesthetic judgements can be made more effectively. If you’re considering secondary fat grafting it’s important to consult your plastic surgeon.Your plastic surgeon should be able to determine whether or not this represents a viable option for you.

Answer: Buttock Fat Grafting Revision This is a good question. Occasionally patients will need a second session of fat transfer to achieve the results that they desire. Unlike an implant, there is a set limit to the amount of fat that can be placed in the in buttock or breast at any one time. As long as you have more fat that can be liposuctioned and used for the fat transfer your buttock can be improved. Many patients receive upwards of 800cc per cheek for their augmentation so it is not unreasonable to transfer fat a second time to your buttock. When considering this procedure it is very important that you have your procedure performed by a board certified plastic surgeon. You also want a surgeon that performs this procedure frequently as they can give you a realistic idea of what to expect and help you achieve the results that you desire. Good Luck!
