Can anything be done about my horrible looking crown? (photo)

I have medicaid and the dentist where I had it done at basically just cemented it in without having me look at it before. The tech who even did my impressions had to do them 4 or 5 times. It's to big, it does not fit right not to mention the color is way off. I don't even show my teeth when I smile or I just cover my mouth.

Sorry to see that your crown does not fit your smile. Your corny can be improved, but since it is a product that is made outside the mouth, the improvement will need to have a new one fabricated and fitted. Given that you go through that process you can probably get your other teeth whitened first, to make it easier for your technician to colour match. Whitened teeth are much easier to colour match and the end result looks much better as well. Stained teeth are difficult to colour match as all the stains have to be matched, which takes time/requires a better technician and makes no sense. Good luck with your replacement Kind regardsThomas Dey, BDS, MSc
