I had ptosis surgery about 2 weeks ago, I found out last Thursday I had an infection, I went to A&E to see a nurse and theyve put me on antibiotics.. everything seemed to be doing well until this morning when I woke up with a sore red bump? Whats happening? Im worried Also shouldnt my stitches have dissolved by now? Also my eye is still VERY droopy
Hello. I had Ptosis repair done 2 weeks ago. I believe the doctor had to flip my eyelid inside out at one point. My stitches are still intact and haven't been taken out yet. I have been healing OK so far. Last night I was rushed to the ER due to a sudden pain in my eye as though something was scratching it. The doctor said it is due to the inner suture rubbing against my eye, and gave me a bandage lens. Did my doctor mess up the surgery? Do I have to reoperate? Why is this only occurring now?
Had revision ptosis repair on 1/31. My first surgery was a faliure but post revision, the issues seem to have gotten worse (photos attached). Dr says likely will correct itself but I'm skeptical as 1) there was a complication during surgery; my eyes wouldn't open so dr had to operate based on pre-op photos and 2) he said they would last time. Here for a 2nd opinion. How likely are my eyes to correct itself? How long can I wait until a revision? What do you think the issue here is?
Hi I had second ptosis surgery 2 weeks ago in my left eye. As I wasn't able to go to the check up to remove stitches I let someone else remove them. My doc can't receive my again before 3rd January. At this moment Im concerned as I dont see any difference to before and when stitches were in. It's still as low. See pics which stitches and closed without. Is there still swelling? Is it due to the scare that is still visible ?
I am two weeks post my second congenital ptosis surgery. Surgeon used whitnalls ligament suspension. It was slightly overcorrected post surgery(has gotten a bit better, can more fully close eye now) I followed up with my doc and he implemented massage to try for a while and he doesnt want to do anything else about it yet. I still have puffiness and swelling by the eyelashes. Is there anything else Ican do about that? And do you think it looks severely over corrected? Trying to stay open minded
i had ptosis surgery 2 weeks ago 2 days or day after the surgery as i can remember i kind of masturbated it is more than 2 weeks after the surgey is this going to have an effect over the surgery's result later because it is considered to be a strenuous activity
I always had ptosis in my left eyelid. It wasnt always noticeable. Unless when i got tired it was very visible. The days after my surgery my eyelid was always droopy. At first i tought it was due to the stitches and swolllen eye. Now 14 days later (4 days after removing stitches my eye is still droopy. Im getting worried now. When at first it was only droopy when i was tired now i always have it. When i ask People They say my eye isnt swolllen anymore. So the eyelid should be good now
I'm 2 weeks and 1 day PO upper bleph and ptosis repair of my right eye. I had a pretty bad swelling about 5 days PO which my surgeon says was extreme dry eye. I'm concerned maybe that swelling caused something to pull loose with the ptosis repair. I'm a worry wart, but have been through a lot and hate not knowing. I read 3 weeks should be able to tell a difference. My lid was actually even with my left lid a few days after the surgery and now it is back where it was before the surgery. Thanks!
