A: The use of a laser in this type of surgery is likely just a marketing ploy. There is no added benefit to using a laser over a scalpel as far as healing time and pain after surgery. Find a surgeon who can show you their before and after photos that match what you are looking for.
A: Developing some lumps after a procedure such as FaceTite is normal this early on. I recommend to my patients that they start massage to the area as early as 3 days post op after FaceTite. These lumps typically fully resolve with time. Make sure you follow up with your surgeon.
A: There are no injections or pills that will shrink breasts. A minimally invasive approach with liposuction may be a good option for a small reduction if there is not loose skin. Testosterone is not the best option for this as there can be many other detrimental effects on your body.
A: Thanks for your picture and question. Yes, massage works well to help improve areas of thickened scar after BodyTite treatment (or any liposuction). It is very normal to see these areas as the swelling decreases. Doing daily massage will help limit excessive scar buildup and you will see smoothing out over several weeks to months.
A: Thanks for your question and pictures. You are right that BodyTite is often combined with liposuction to help improve the results of the procedure. However, BodyTite can be performed by itself to help tighten loose skin only. Very nice improvement can be obtained with this modality and it is a procedure that can be done in the office under local anesthesia only. Make sure you meet with a board certified plastic surgeon.
