I'm a 43 year old male that experiences moderate sweating when at work and out and about. It seems worse when wearing shirts that are up in the armpit and don't provide room to breather. Also activated by nerves and activity in general. I had the MiraDry treatment and the numbing was very painful and at times the treatment itself burned very badly. I don't really have any hair in my armpits because I've had laser hair removal there and my bikini area many, many times and none of those treatments were as painful as this one. My armpits filled with about an inch of fluid and lumps immediately following the treatment and was a little more than I expected. I'm a teleworker so it was no big deal and iced for many days. Gravity took the fluid south and I ended up man titties for a while and it continued down to my waist and mons pubis. It eventually went away but had jiggly boobs for a few weeks. It's now been 11 weeks. I still have lumps in my armpits, they are still a little swollen, I have dark marks/scars where small burn holes formed the day of the treatment, still numbness in the immediate treatment area, looks like a little black and blue still under the skin, I still sweat, and it still smells. If I were to guess I'd say it reduced my sweating by about 30% which doesn't change a whole lot because I still "pit out" in my shirts. After enduring the pain, spending that much money on a single treatment, ending up with armpits that look worse than when I went in, and the fact that I got such a small amount of sweat reduction is a real kick in the balls.
I've considered getting a breast augmentation for about a year and I'm finally going through with it. My goal is to fill out a bikini but still look natural and not too big. I decided to go see Dr. Mallalieu at the Laser Center of Maryland because he did my friends BA which turned out beautiful and they feel pretty natural too. The doctor's office staff was very friendly and set me at ease right away when I called to book my free consultation. My consultation took about 45 minutes as Dr. Mallalieu did a brief exam (not scary like I thought it would be) and educated me on my options. Given my goals, he reccomended 265cc Allergan Natrelle Moderate Profile implants. Dr. M explained that due to my small diameter areolas I couldn't go over 265cc without inserting the implant under my breast. I don't want any scars under my breasts so I decided to go with the 265cc's through the nipple. I am preparing for surgery on Thursday and I'm nervous but very excited! Updated on 23 Feb 2018: It's been one year since my surgery. I absolutely LOVE my new boobs! Dr. Mallalieu and his whole staff were amazing throughout the process. When I had my initial consultation I was concerned that I was going too large, but now I wish I went a little bigger. Maybe when I replace my implants in a decade I will consider going with 350cc. A side note, I am prone to scarring and I did get some raised scars around the nipple where the implant was inserted. Dr. Mallalieu is addressing the scars with laser treatment and kenalog injections. I'm already seeing improvements and my next post will include pictures after these treatments are concluded.
