I'm a 43 year old male that experiences moderate sweating when at work and out and about. It seems worse when wearing shirts that are up in the armpit and don't provide room to breather. Also activated by nerves and activity in general.
I had the MiraDry treatment and the numbing was very painful and at times the treatment itself burned very badly. I don't really have any hair in my armpits because I've had laser hair removal there and my bikini area many, many times and none of those treatments were as painful as this one.
My armpits filled with about an inch of fluid and lumps immediately following the treatment and was a little more than I expected. I'm a teleworker so it was no big deal and iced for many days. Gravity took the fluid south and I ended up man titties for a while and it continued down to my waist and mons pubis. It eventually went away but had jiggly boobs for a few weeks.
It's now been 11 weeks. I still have lumps in my armpits, they are still a little swollen, I have dark marks/scars where small burn holes formed the day of the treatment, still numbness in the immediate treatment area, looks like a little black and blue still under the skin, I still sweat, and it still smells. If I were to guess I'd say it reduced my sweating by about 30% which doesn't change a whole lot because I still "pit out" in my shirts.
After enduring the pain, spending that much money on a single treatment, ending up with armpits that look worse than when I went in, and the fact that I got such a small amount of sweat reduction is a real kick in the balls.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was considering this treatment but now I'm not so sure. I sincerely hope you find a way to resolve the complications of the Miradry.

It would only be painful if they did not use enough local anesthesia to numb it. You have to go to the right place. I went to Sachin M. Shridharani, MD, FACS - LUXURGERY© in NYC and after one treatment (mind you that I would sweat through my shirts every day with the strongest OTC anti-perspirant available prior to treatment) I received probably 70-80% sweat reduction.

Thank you for opening up about your experience. How long ago did you have the treatment?

Sorry about the poor results Nice27 :( Had the procedure done myself in August, and I can say the results were life changing. It's possible that this procedure just didn't work for you, though I am suspect of one thing from your photos.... you're lumpy "treated area" (i had it too) is VERY low. I don't think they actually treated almost any your sweat glands. This is a procedure can legally be done by an RN or an MD with minimal (one day) training. All they have to do is pay for the very expensive machine and treatment kits. Go to a place that has done this hundreds of times with good results and I would bet you $1,000 of my own money that you will not be disappointed.

I agree looks completely in the wrong location. Who was your provider calm3398? I am looking into this to be done.
