Love, love, love my Lips!!! It was quick and painless! They look fantastic! Christa was great, very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and concerns! I highly recommend her!!! I can’t wait to show off my new lips for LipSense biz!
I had lips and first Kybella session done this past week (more to come on Kybella.) I have also been on the hunt for a product that makes my lips more proportional to my other facial features. I have very large eyes, a round button nose, and very dramatic features (long eyelashes, strong brow) so I wanted to balance out my face with larger lips. I love my natural shape which i would describe as traditional lip shape (although I love unique shapes on other people.) I have a larger bottom lip than top. Anyways, after perusing every site I could to figure out what really works for bigger lips I finally considered lip injections. I booked an appointment, hastily, as I though I might feel weird about having something "fake" on my face. But then I though about make-up and fake lashes, push-up bras, spanx; and realized lip injections weren't much different than that. I treated myself to an appointment after doing extensive research on options in my city (Columbus, OH) and I settled on Juvly, it was a wonderful and pretty painless experience for lips (minor pain the first night after AMAZING numbing cream wore off.) And OMG IF MY LIPS DONT LOOK AMAZING. Seriously, these are the lips I was supposed to be born with. The lips I spent thousands of dollars to try to emulate with makeup and tingly lip glosses. The only question I have is why did I wait so long? Note: I had assumed they would use Juvederm on me but I let her choose which option. She chose Juvederm Ultra and I love the results. Reaction: When she Injected my top lip I bruised almost immediately on the right side. She mentioned that I would definitely have a bruise and swelling afterward. I purposely took Friday off work (+ weekend) to prepare for that reaction as I bruise very easily and have sensitive skin. She texted me after I left to make sure I was doing okay because she doesn't see people bruise that quickly. I responded with photo and she reassured me it was fine and it was! About 24 hours later bruising and swelling was minimal. 48 hours later and it's gone. I'm in love with my lips! Updated on 25 Oct 2016: Sorry for potato quality but I love my lips! No duck lips or weird outward pockets of filler on profile. I will post a before and after smile photo and profile photo too when I have some makeup on so it's more in sync with before. They look so natural not a single person (even close family) has noticed. For the first two days back to work I took opportunity to try fun lipstick colors! Now no need because bruising is gone. Ignore the post glycolic peel redness face (on treatments for hyperpigmentatio now cystic acne) and Kybella swelling compression garment I'm trying in the photo. I had a submental pouch of fat under my soft palate, so not a double chin as such. I was excited to try Kybella as my daughters wedding is coming up in August and I want to look my best. The clinician assessed me and we discussed if maybe with the structure of my area it might leave sagging skin. I did NOT want this and appreciated her honesty. She double checked with another staff member who assured her no I’d be an ideal candidate and would probably only need one vial. It seemed totally worth doing so I signed off on one vial. I swelled up like a bullfrog, jiggling sensation and all. I had to wear scarves up to my chin for over a week as the obvious swelling subsided. I’d been told swelling is good, it’s what we want, it means the chemicals are working. I’ve included pictures to date. My concern currently is that tomorrow marks the three week mark and I look exactly the same as before. I know they say ‘it can take more than one treatment’. I get that, but should I expect SOME change? Perhaps I’ve not given it enough time (though it does seem to have stopped changing altogether). Do I go ahead and fork out fir skin tightening therapy and more kybella (neither of which I can really afford). My face is not shown not due to vanity...but I also had surgical mole to cal on my chin so I have stitches in my face!! I’d love to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience to how I feel now. Did yours get better over time? If so, how long? Also, does it look like I need skin tightening therapy instead of kybella? If so which one works fastest. I almost wish at this point that I hadn’t started. Updated on 27 Jun 2019: Undated photo us today. I THINK there’s improvement. I’d appreciate your opinions. Traceyanimallover, I hope seeing these helps :-) it seemed like over a twenty four hour period the swelling just decided to speak up?! Now it feels like that pouch that was there and bothered me...it seems flatter Updated on 1 Jul 2019: Actually, in the interest of honesty, I think I was being a bit ahead of myself that day. It seems the same as before :-( I mean, if you see a change please do tell me. It’s four weeks today and if anything it’s the same as before if not a little worse :-( Updated on 9 Jul 2019: Week five. Perhaps a slight decrease in submental fat but now sagging where the jaw meets the neck. The profile has changed but I wouldn’t say for the better. Maybe it will change more but I will never recommend this procedure to anyone. Too risky. Do liposuction, guaranteed result.
Would give zero stars if I could. I purchased buy one get one free Exosomes during a recent promotion. I had a horrible experience with the provider the last time I went, and complained to the customer service manager to no avail. The customer service here is horrendous...skeleton staff, constant turnover with no idea how to treat people. So, I decided to find another MedSpa to do my microneedling after going there seven years. I have one Exosomes treatment left and was told at my last appointment that I couldn't get it to take home, but could come in and get it applied there at a later date. Now, Juvly is saying I can't use it without another treatment of some kind, and the one I have left is the free one. So, they can't refund me. How ridiculous is that? They arbitrarily say the one I used was the one I paid for. I now go to a MedSpa where they appreciate me and don't act like they are doing me a favor. Go anywhere else. This place has really gone downhill.
