"Trust has be the essential cornerstone of any relationship worth having!" This is particularly true when you consider cosmetic surgery. I believe that if I can't gain your trust, then I shouldn't be your surgeon. Integrity, sincerity and open dialogue will lead to that bond based on trust.

I have very little scaring, my lipo came out perfect for my body, I'm in love with my boobs

This is a very honest review from someone that looked a lot to find the perfect doctor for herself! After loosing 83 pounds, my boobs and my abdomen were a little saggy, not very, but a little, I'd always had some stubborn fat in my lower abdomen area (even when skinny), and the sagginess of my boobs came from the weight gain-loss since I never had big boobs. I was so uncomfortable with the...

The perfect fit for my surgery needs

Oh, where shall I begin? As we all know, electing to have elective surgery can be quite frightening. When selecting your physician, you have to do your due diligence. Please keep in mind, Cost and Popularity should NOT be your primary deciding factors. This brings me to how I selected IMAGOS PLASTIC SURGERY for my surgery needs. I had my first consultation with Dr. Perez-Gurri back in...

I’m feeling so confident and I’m not even completely healed yet

Amazing doctor. When you walk into this facility you’ll notice fine wall art pieces as he is into collecting art. It’s no surprise he is an artist in the surgical field. His bedside manner is a rarity nowadays with all the other meat market like centers that boast cheap surgeries but lack a quality staff from a-z. I am one week post op and I’m still recovering but I love my results and even ...

Nowhere near healed but already so pleased with my results

I had a breast augmentation done with Dr. Perez-Gurri about 9 days ago. I couldn't be happier with my results so far and couldn't have picked a better surgeon. Dr. Perez-Gurri himself is beyond thorough, informative, honest and realistic. His staff is just as amazing, all the girls working there have been so helpful and friendly through this whole process and are also all very knowledgeable. I...

Q: Will a tummy tuck get rid of pregnancy stretch marks?
Answered by Dr. Perez-GurriMay 29, 2019

A: Hi All skin from the belly button down to the pubic area will be removed with a tummy tuck and therefore the stretch marks in this area will be removed. Those that exist above the belly button and on the sides of your hip will not. However, the ones aboev the belly button will move down towards the pubic region making them less visible. Good luck

Q: Spitting sutures after FDL tummy tuck. Do I just have to wait until all of the sutures come out? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. Perez-GurriMay 29, 2019

A: It seems you've had a reaction to the suture material used. Unfortunately, your surgeon is 8 hrs away. Just like you are posting photos to Real Self, do the same with your surgeon. You will need local wound care. Please consult with your surgeon's office. I feel this may b a chronic problem and every few weeks or months you may find another suture popping through the skin.  Goos luc.

Q: 3 weeks post op tummy tuck, my incision reopened. Is this something to worry about or a sign of infection? (photo)
Answered by Dr. Perez-GurriMay 13, 2019

A: It seems like you have a small amount of fat necrosis which means that the fat underneath the skin died. This does not represent an infection although it could potentially become one. It is usually treated with local wound care. I would refer you back to your surgeon and ask him how to treat. Good luck

Q: Should I get 350cc or 400cc HP? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. Perez-GurriFebruary 5, 2019

A: Hi, based on the non-operated photos, which I assume they're yours, I would suggest silicone gels 400cc HP would be fine. I would insert either through a periareolar or fold approach, underneath or behind the chest muscle.

Always seek out the opinion of a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with years of experience in cosmetic breast surgery. Furthermore request to see before and after photos of previous patients by that doctor....not a clinic or surgery center. Do your homework......research and verify the doctor's credentials. Have they had problems with the Board of Medicine, disciplinary or otherwise. Any law suits?

How about the center, clinic or facility? Are they accredited by a national organization or do they just have State approval. Understand that at the current time, there are three nationally recognized organizations responsible for the highest levels of patient safety, AAAASF, AAACH and JCHO. You owe it to yourself to position yourself for the best possible results but under the most stringent safety regulations, If you have kids, even more so.

How about anesthesia? Will you have a medical doctor certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA)? Understand that there is no substitute for research. Cosmetic surgery, no matter how simple it may be to the patients, are invasive procedures and as such carry certain risks and complications.

In our office, as in others, we use TouchMD which is a web based program in which patients have the ability to load their picture unto the program. I then evaluate them and can actually draw on the picture to show a potential patient where the incisions would be located and how the procedure is to be realized. It's all done to comply with HIPPA which is the federal law that protects the patient's medical information. Look them up.

Good luck, Dr P

Q: Do tummy tucks cause permanent vaginal dryness?
Answered by Dr. Perez-GurriDecember 6, 2018

A: Hi,. The two are totally unrelated. If antibiotics nare prescribed a yeast infection may occur. Dryness is more a function of hormones. Good luck Dr PG
