After a major surgery and dental lab work at G4 by Golpa, I gave myself two weeks to see how my new set of bridges functions. And it is flawless, simply PERFECT in both aesthetics and function. That is why I consider myself very lucky to have met Dr. Anderson who helped me with advice and performed a number of procedures over the course of several years. This time, I believe the instructions he provided to the lab after the surgery were absolutely instrumental in abandoning deficiencies of the previous bridge design (manufactured by another lab) and delivering the final quality product. And Patrick who is in charge of the lab did an amazing job; his lab is the best! I am grateful to everybody at G4 By Golpa - Gina and Matt handled documentation and scheduling with all due diligence, I then was treated, with precision, at the hands of Barbara and Calli who have perfected techniques of working with their dental tools. In a brief adjustment procedure, I met Dr. Kelsey – a pleasant and informative encounter. And there were more friendly faces and professional help … what a great office to commit to when you need the new teeth that help you be at your best in the modern world. As Dr. Anderson once remarked to me: “this is what we do here”, and I can totally testify to that.
My experience was awesome. I recommend this procedure to anyone tired of not being able to have a normal life due to lose teeth. GET YOUR LIFE BACK WITH GOLPA AND ASK FOR “JESUS WHITE” Tooth shade name by Myra&Kelli lol
After years of pain, infections and antibiotics, it was time to face the truth: End of the line. Something has to be done. Spent weeks researching, reading and checking all options. Locally, not much was available. 6 different dentists, identical sad conclusions: teeth have to come out. Some said they can try to a total restoration, which included several implants, partials , braces and countless root canals/ crowns. The cost was ranging from $12000.00 to $50000.00. Time frame from 2 to 4 years. Dentures, snap on or not didn't match my active life style and work...Started looking at all on 4 implants and after much study I ended calling Golpa dental. The closest to me was the Dallas location. It meant flying there from the gulf coast of MS and stying there for few days . It was a big step, one very much needed, and hopefully would be a life changer.... flew to Dallas Monday July 29th, surgery planned for Tuseday... for once in my life, I was about to do something for my self. The day of the surgery, extractions (22 I think) and 10 implants, 4 top and 6 bottom went by like a blink of an eye. I could hear and see everything, but felt nothing. That night I slept toothless for 12 hours. Came back the next day, and was fitted with the permanent set, it did take 2 sets to get the bite right, but left feeling weird and happy... the swelling peeked on the third day, with slight pain and discomfort. Only took Advil and it was managed. 7 days now, no pain, just some tightness and pressure that seems to be declining with every passing hour. I'm able to eat and speak, sounds little funny, but a lot better than I was expecting....I had or 2 people make the observation that the uppers looked a little big, but having forgotten what my smile looked like, I don't have a comparable reference .. will be going back in 6 months, if everything holds, and by then should have a better idea... so far, no regrets ... Updated on 7 Aug 2019: Updated on 10 Aug 2019: Updated on 11 Aug 2019: After hearing so much about the expected swelling and bruising post surgery, I decided to grow a beard prior to surgery , to help minimize and hide the appearance of both in case it does come true... Did have some swelling for about a week, but thankfully no bruising. Beard shaved now. I noticed my relaxed smile is a little off to one side, and after doing some research, I found the reason. Having no bottom right teeth for over 2 years, forced chewing on the left side only, causing a weakening in the right jaw muscles. Luckily the fix is easy : Start using both sides for chewing, now that I can, and for even faster results, use the right side more often. Also found some facial exercises that will help along the way... Feeling great and thankful for the second chance. Updated on 13 Aug 2019: Swelling, pressure, and any discomfort all but disappeared. Cleaning becoming a little easier, with water pick and flossing, now that there is a slight gap allowing it...Talking is almost back to normal. Eating is the easiest and most enjoyable part. So far, no biting cheeks or tongue . Trying to chew and use both sides is slowly happening. Very encouraged with results after only 2 weeks. Updated on 14 Aug 2019: Updated on 19 Aug 2019: Healing continues, most stitches dissolved or gone, gums feeling normal, no pressure or pain. Lowers feel like a part of my mouth now, the upper getting there. Speaking is almost back to normal except for one or two letters (S). Was told I had good bone structure, so could eat anything, but stay away from chewing ice or hard candy for three months. Have been mostly on soft food, but yesterday decided it was test time. Went to one of the Casinos on the coast, and had an all you eat meal. Included for the first time on a long while, a tender small well done steak, cut to bite size pieces, crab legs, breaded fried fish and shrimp, boiled shrimp, pizza and every desert ever made. Full taste and control, and 100% enjoyable..Swishing ice tea helped keep any food particulars from getting under the arches, and it was a great start. When I got home I was curious to find out how much food was still stuck, so did the full cleaning, water pick and all. Very small amount was there, mostly from the breaded fish and shrimp, but over all, a total success.. Updated on 27 Aug 2019: Getting back to normal, BUT with teeth and a smile. No major issues so far. Eating becoming easier and talking is coming along( a slight problem with the letter (s) remains. Full Cleaning takes about 5 minutes and is done twice a day. I do brush and gargle after each meal. Confidence is replacing embarrassment and fear. Bye Bye abscesses, you wont be missed. Updated on 1 Oct 2019: All is going well. Eating is back to normal. Talking is coming along, still have some issues with certain letters, hopefully with the six months check up it will be fixed. Updated on 25 Feb 2020: Implants in great shape. Set cleaned and realigned.. Remaining speech issues all but eliminated. The staff wonderful as usual. This has been by far, the best thing I have done for myself... Updated on 26 Feb 2020: Updated on 9 Feb 2021: By far the best decision I ever made. Talking normal took a while, chewing on both sides, had to be relearned. Only regret is waiting and hesitating for years to have the procedure done .
Hello all. I flew from the Bronx to Dallas and got the G4 Golpa experience. 7/31/19. After having 5 consultations in New York and realizing I would never be able to afford to get my smile fixed I started researching my options. I joined some great groups on facebook and learned about G4 Golpa. I watched every video I could, I read every review I could find and heard nothing but great things about this procedure. I honestly thought it sounded too good to be true. I had several phone consults, the office staff are great about answering your questions. I made the decision to do this mostly alone because the few people I did tell were negative about it, telling me I was crazy for spending so much money. Fast forward to my surgery date 7/31/19, i had my extractions, 8/1/19, bridges placed, 8/2/19 I flew back to the Bronx. All I can say is, so far all the great things you hear about the procedure and the service are true. Dr. Anderson, and Dr. Kelsey are not only knowledgeable, and professional, but extremely warm. Every staff member i encountered made me feel so important and comfortable. I am adjusting to everything that has happened to me over the last week. I have had minimal, and I say minimal pain, some swelling. And no bruising. I am so glad I did this, and judging from the reaction of the few family and friends, and the people in my groups, I made a great choice. I cant say how grateful I am to everyone who reviewed, took pictures, update on their progress, because it really helped me make my decision to do this. I still haven't revealed my smile to my co workers and friends, and I will be honest, I am nervous about that. My husband was a naysayer, but once he saw my outcome he became a supporter to the point that he wants to get his done now. He had a different perspective because he sat in the waiting area and got to talk to the staff and other customers who came in and he was impressed. There are many versions of this procedure out there but so far I have no regrets about the choice I made. Updated on 10 Aug 2019: I am 10 days out from eday and I am feeling good. My swelling is gone, I have no pain and I am eating real food. I even lost 9 lbs. I have been doing salt water rinses 2-3 times a day, brushing twice a day with baking soda, using my water pick twice a day, swishing with mouthwash twice a day, but up until today I was too scared to floss. I am happy to report glossing was a lot easier than I thought it would be and painless. I definitely need more practice, and I wasn't able to get into a few spots but it went well. I need to get one of those things that hold your mouth open so I'm not fighting with my lips while I'm doing my cleaning. I would live to here any tricks veterans have come up with. Updated on 18 Aug 2019: 1 am 18 days post eday and feeling great. I have a little bit of numbness in my lower gum area but not anything I need to take pain medicine for. I am not having any problems with eating but I continue to eat food on the softer end of the spectrum. I would say my speech is 95 % back to normal. I am becoming less self conscious about my new smile and find myself smiling more. My teeth feel strong and stable. So far things are going great. Updated on 14 Sep 2019: Just a quick check in to say that I am doing well. The last bit of numbness and tingling in my bottom jaw is completely gone, I'm eating a variety of foods, and my teeth feel sturdy and strong. My speech is still a little off but it continues to improve. Updated on 23 Jan 2020: I had my 1st follow up at the Golpa clinic in Virginia. My implants have integrated and my gums are healthy. It was very weird having my bridges out while they were being cleaned and religned but it was only for 1.5 hours. The Golpa clinic us using a new material for their bridges, PMMA and gave me the option of getting new bridges but I decided to keep my old bridges. My speech is improved and the bridges feel even more like my teeth with the relign.
I will skip all the personal teeth history and go right to my experience at the Golpa Dallas location. I had a last minute gap in my schedule and contacted Golpa on Monday for implant appointment for end of same week. Apparently the planets were aligned just so, and I was given an appointment for 8 am thursday that week. I didn't realize at the time but a few people involved in my case do not usually work on Friday's but agreed to go in for me. That is sort of the theme of this location, above and beyond. All the girls that work there treat you like you're their BFF and make you feel comfortable even before you step into the office. I flew alone into Dallas late Wed afternoon. Golpa office contacted me to see if I needed an uber to get office from hotel and arranged it for me. Got to office first thing thursday and had scan/xray done right away. Then met Dr's and assistants that would be there with me. After consult and teeth choosing done, paid bill and was ready for surgery at about 11 or so (don't really remember time). I had about 22 teeth pulled and 8 implants. I 'woke' up around 4-ish and was very groggy. Once I was slightly awake I was given a protein drink which I dribbled like a baby, lol. One of the girls said that usually happens and gave me a mirror to watch myself drink, and that was much better. I was wiped out, but didn't have any pain at all. No novicane sensation, just the odd feeling of no teeth and metal pins in mouth. Around 500-530 I was well enough to go back to hotel and again they arranged for Uber to bring me back to hotel and sent me with some extra protein shakes. Once in my room, I went to sleep and pretty much slept until the next morning. The next day I was to wait until they called to go in when my teeth were ready. I had already rented a car, so I did a little driving around and sight seeing and went to CVS to get script for pain killer filled just in case. I got a call around 1030 to go in, and by 1230 was all done and my teeth looked great. Since I had many teeth prior to procedure, I didn't feel weird with teeth. That said there is for lack of a better word extra gum prosthetic area on top on the front and back of gum which I assume is there to protect the healing gums underneath. That extra piece takes a little getting used to when speaking. Anyhow still pain-wise I took a couple of ibuprofen and the antibiotics previously prescribed and that was it. I was scheduled to fly back to the northeast early Friday evening, but got to airport early and got on an earlier flight. I was slightly sore but otherwise OK. I had a 2 hr drive from airport, once home tired but otherwise just sore and it was quelled with ibuprofen. So very glad I flew out and got home asap, because I had a lousy night on Friday. Not my mouth, but my stomach. Don't know what caused it, but had very bad stomach pains for approx 6 hours and as quickly as they came on they were gone. Very unusual for me because I rarely have any stomach issues. My kids were away for the weekend, so I had Saturday and most of Sunday to relax. Saturday I slept a lot, and Sunday I was pretty much OK and more like my old self. Crazy when you think about that considering everything that happened the previous 3 days! I had bruising and swelling on my face that was completely gone within 7 days from the surgery. I never needed the pain meds and I was so sick of soft food, I ate some softer regular food after a few days of surgery. In the beginning, I bit the inside of my cheeks a lot. I'd say within a month that very rarely happened. My speaking was odd, but that also improved fairly quickly. The teeth work, but obviously are not attached to nerves so the sensation of eating food is different. The good news is there's no nerve pain from eating. The bad news for me is now I can eat ice cream without issue and am enjoying it a bit too much and too often, haha. The front of the teeth feel like normal teeth. The top of the bottom teeth and the bottom of top teeth have ridges that feel normal. The back of the teeth do not feel like regular teeth, but really doesn't matter at all. In closing the entire staff at Golpa Dallas was beyond exceptional. I truly liked them all a lot. The office is modern and spotless. As they promised, they followed up after a couple of weeks to see how I was doing. I will have to go back for my adjustment and cleaning in a few months and look forward to seeing everyone again. It took me a long time to get the nerve to do this and my only regret is that it took me a long time to do this. It is an incredible amount of money so I get the hesitation, but the payback is priceless and crazy to wait if you can get it done sooner than later.
Getting psychologically prepared for an “all-on-four” dental procedure was quite nerve-wracking but the minute I first talked to Dr. Anderson, I immediately realized he was absolutely the right surgeon for me! His style is truly exceptional, he took all the time to make me feel at ease and provide me with essential details related to the process ahead. A genuine, very meticulous approach that made all the difference right from the beginning. The surgery and healing of the implants was a complete success! Dr. Anderson is now helping me navigate through subsequent steps, he has always been there for me to make necessary adjustments and provide me with invaluable guidance. Dr. Anderson, please accept my sincere appreciation for all your work. I want to thank you for not only being an ultimate expert in your field, but also for your compassionate approach to your patients!
I haven't raised enough money for my procedure yet, but based on the reviews and testimonials throughout social media, I know that I'm making the right choice to have my procedure at the Dallas location as soon as I finish raising the money.
My goal here is to write about my total experience getting the All on 4 procedure/G4 implant solution at the newest Golpa center in Dallas. I've been interested in this idea since I first heard of it but still had some okay teeth and could not afford it. The name "Golpa" came up over and over again during the years of on and off research. I spoke to a lovely person named Andrea on the website's live chat. She was very sincere and did not come off pushy or like a salesperson. She had the procedure herself and gave what I felt like was an honest review. She mentioned that the Dallas location had just opened and had limited time special pricing for $29.5K for both arches. At first I was hesitant. I kind of felt like I might be a guinea pig for the new center but she assured me that the doctor in charge has trained with Dr Golpa for 5 years and was actually one of the doctors who performed her surgery. I'm still feeling a little weird about it honestly. The LV center has sooo many reviews as does Dr Golpa himself, but this place is very new and not much info is out there. In the end, the fact that I'm terrified of flying and just have awful travel anxiety all around made the decision for me. Dallas is less than 1/2 the travel time of LV for me. Put that with the lower price and I made the choice. I booked my appointment and put down my deposit yesterday. It's a deposit of $5K which holds your surgery date, makes sense to me since they devote so much time to each patient so I wasn't annoyed about that. I booked my trip today and it was about $800 for 2 people to go for 3 nights. I will be arriving on Sunday, surgery and consultation on Monday, bridge on Tuesday, and leaving Wednesday afternoon. Right now I am just feeling insanely nervous. I'm going back and forth on whether I should've gone to LV and hoping this center is just as good. I'm glad they could get me in so soon! If I had to wait months I think the anxiety would drive me nuts. If you're interested in my dental story, keep reading. Otherwise I'll update soon! I have always had bad teeth. My enamel just flakes right off and I grew up very poor and didn't see a dentist for probably 17 years. When you don't get to see anyone little problems turn into big ones. A tooth that might've needed a small filling now needs a root canal and crown. As a single mom in my 20s I never had the money to do the proper treatments. Usually the tooth would just be left until it became so painful that it had to be extracted (I sure didn't have 2K for a root canal and crown). I have had so many infected teeth over the years. The pain is unreal. My teeth break easily because of the weak enamel and I never know when I might just bite down onto a piece of a tooth. I came upon a dentist who really helped me and did some fillings and crowns for only the lab fees. This probably saved me from dentures for the last 6 years. However, so many had to go that I am down to only one spot where I can chew which is on my back left. The bottom tooth cracked a few weeks ago and when that tooth gets removed I will have no more back chewing surface. I realized it was probably about to be time for dentures and had 3 consults. Every dentist told me about how much I'd hate dentures and how my bones would diminish (which is already starting to happen on one side) and my face would change and eventually collapse. They all recommended implants at a cost of $40 to 60K. The thing that drove me crazy was how JUDGMENTAL every single one of them was. Look, could I have put more time into caring for my teeth? I don't know, probably, but when you can't see a dentist and don't really know what's going on it's hard to treat at home. What I do know is that now is not lecture time. This is the situation I'm in and I really don't need to hear about how much happier I'd be with my real teeth. Yeah.... I know that. Obviously. On top of that they shrugged off the cost like it was no big deal. "It's an investment in yourself", "Think about your health!", "It's no more than a new car". And I get it, teeth are a big deal, but if you don't have the money to invest then hearing that stuff isn't helpful. We are financially stable but certainly don't have a spare 50K laying around. i figured it was hopeless. We ended up taking a loan from a family member. Now I know that I am extremely lucky to have someone in my life who had the resources and the willingness to help. I know that not everyone will, but if you have someone who might be able to help you and you're in a desperate situation , you never know, so ask! Until that offer my plan was to save up and try to go to Mexico. I really didn't want to go out of the country but hey, desperate times. When we had the money secured I started doing real research. I cannot live with a denture, seriously, not even for a few months. I would actually just go toothless. Turns out that almost every "Teeth in a Day" advertisement is false. They almost all require a temporary which may or may not just be a denture and is usually ill fitting from their patients stories. I kept seeing Golpa over and over again and barely a single bad review. When I heard about the much lower pricing and watched all the videos on youtube (and I do mean ALL) and read every review I could find, I decided to book. I'm hoping and praying that the new location lives up to the reputation of the LV one. Someone has to take a chance and I guess it's me! The strongest muscle based on its weight is the masseter. With all muscles of the jaw working together it can close the teeth with a force as great as 55 pounds (25 kilograms) on the incisors or 200 pounds (90.7 kilograms) on the molars.

Conscious is a combination of medicines to help you relax (a sedative) and to block pain (an anesthetic) during a medical or dental procedure. You will remain in a “twilight” state, and can respond to commands, but remember little of the procedure. Conscious sedation lets you feel no pain, recover quickly, and return to your everyday activities soon after your procedure.
Levels of discomfort vary but typically are minimal. There may be some swelling and discomfort a few days after your surgery. Swelling is a normal response in the healing process. Once swelling occurs it takes 7-10 days to subside. You should have implant checked ASAP
Depending on your bone/tissue level, the abutments that hold the prostheses in your mouth will be noticeable if you pull your lip up. The purpose of having visible abutments is for optimal hygiene purposes. You MUST be able to pass the bridge floss underneath the prosthetic in order to keep plaque and tartar from building up around your abutments and on the underside of the bridge.
