The best in town

I have been going here for over a year and I have nothing but great things to say about this place. My favorites are Mari and Kayla , they are extremely professional and so thorough. I trust them wholeheartedly. I would recommend everyone to make time to take care of themselves. The front staff is very friendly and kind, they make you feel welcome every time I walk through that door.

Such an amazing experience with Mari and Blue Water Spa!

I recently made an appointment with Mari, one of the nurse injectors, to "hesitantly" discuss possible filler injections for my loss of collagen issues. I explained to her that I had an unfortunate experience several years ago, at another medical spa in our area. She could see I was quite skeptical. I did a LOT of research before choosing Blue Water Spa, but I had heard so many great things about the facility and had read great reviews online, I decided to schedule my complimentary consult with Mari. Her professionalism, many years of experience and expertise, along with her obvious compassion and understanding of my concerns, put me at ease instantly. She thoroughly explained the process of filler injectables and would stop periodically to ask if I had any questions. In addition to her attention to detail and concern for me, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the entire facility and to the superior patient care from everyone from the moment I walked in. Following my consult, I felt extremely comfortable and with no hesitation, I scheduled my filler treatment. When I arrived a few days later, Mari greeted me with," I'm so happy to see you and I promise to take good care of you!!" Prior to beginning the injections, she explained, again, what to expect. I could not believe how gentle she was....very minimal pain....and I'm a baby with that kind of thing! She stopped several times to ask how I was doing. I was very vocal about my fear of lip fillers, based on past experience. She said, "I promise not to make you look different. I am here to enhance your already beautiful qualities." I COMPLETELY trusted her! I am thrilled to say that, for the first time, I am so happy with the subtle, yet pretty results, We all want the "natural" results and Mari "gets it"! When your husband says, "You look so good and just well-rested!" My friends ask me, "Have you changed your makeup or something?? Hair?? You look extra pretty!"... you know you've chosen the right nurse injector.  I know there are so many options out there. I urge you to do your research, I usually do not take the time to post YELP reviews. However, I felt so strongly about this AMAZING EXPERIENCE, I truly felt the need to share. Call around. Meet with several providers.  I feel confident your journey will lead you to Mari at Blue Water Spa!

Emsella

not worth it

Before Emsella I had leakage when coughing - now I have leaking full on all the time. I did the recommended 6 treatments and afterward had less and less control over the next month. I let the spa know and they contacted Emsella and said less control was normal for a few weeks after the procedure. It has been over 4 months and I have about zero control. My bladder doesn't just leak, it pours out without warning. I called the spa a month later and talked with someone who took a lot of information and said they would get back to me. Hoping to hear something soon - but beware - this treatment ruined any control that I had prior.

Facial Reconstructive Surgery

He Rebuilt Me from the Inside out

Dr. Law was my only hope. I had been through a few very traumatic events that lead to my need for his expertise. It all started with an injury that lead me to needing a fat graft to my cheeks. I put much thought into that fat graft, and I researched my surgeon, but he was just a local with little experience. He ended up overfilling me and injecting so much above my sinuses, I was actually having adverse reactions that lead to me having no choice but to remove the graft. I couldn't breathe well. There was so much of an inflammatory response throughout the face, the surgeon I chose to remove the graft couldn't differentiate between what was swelling and what was grafted fat. Unfortunately he took so much out, it included much of my native fat as well. I was left dented, asymmetric and broken emotionally. I was terrified of having another graft put in, but I knew at some point I would have to face it because I was stripped down to the bone on my nose, and my eyes recessed, and my face was lopsided. I desperately needed structural fat placed back in certain areas. After much researching diligently, I found Dr. Law. I was scared, I was hesitant, but I was so hopeful after reading all of his wonderful reviews. I called the office and was able to tell my story to Debbie P. whom is amazing and kind, and has much compassion for others. She felt awful for my situation and put me in touch with Dr. Law with my story. I thought, "he won't be willing to graft me after I have had to have one removed." I was scared and I honestly didn't think he would give me the time of day. I was wrong. He and I had a lovely consult and he assured me that the issues I had before would not return, I would not be overstuffed, and that I would indeed benefit from structural grafting. I was so relieved. I waited until the 1 year mark to be sure all swelling was gone and to set him up for a successful graft. Success is an understatement. He nailed it. My experience with him was spot on. He didn't go outside of our agreed site, as my other surgeon had. He promised me we would be on the same page at all times, which we were, and 2 weeks post grafting, I saw myself again. I was complete again! I was leaving the house, going out, doing stuff... facing people! However, he chose to do a conservative approach the first time around, and for that I am so thankful. We wanted to see how I metabolized the fat and make sure we didn't overfill. I did absorb much of the graft because of the conservative approach but there was no problem with that. I went back this week for my 2nd graft, in which we both agreed to be slightly more liberal and I feel great and excited, and once again, just awaiting those amazing results. I trust him over ANY other plastic surgeon. I assure you your outcome with Law will be worth the travel, the wait, the money, the time, and the trust. If ever I need touchups, I will be right back here with him. Now that I have reviewed my experience with Dr. Law, I'd like to also share that every single staff member is amazing as well. The nurses are so sweet, and make great conversation to help ease your nerves. The anesthesiologist is excellent! The team work is incredible. You feel like you are with a small family that you just fit into while you are there. I hope you get the opportunity to be part of the Law family, even if it's just for something simple. Or, it could be to rebuild your confidence, your identity, or your life. For whatever your needs may be, small or life changing, the Law team will build you up and hold you high above your biggest insecurities. Thank you to Blue Water Spa for doing exactly that for me. I appreciate each one of them so much, but especially Dr. Law. If you would benefit from seeing my before and after photos, I encourage you to private message me. I would be happy to share them with you privately.

Nonsurgical Nose Job

Amazing Results

I am from San Diego and was in Raleigh visiting family and had heard great things about Blue Water Spa. I decided to check it out for a facial and after looking at some of the other services they offered, I couldn't resist trying a few other things as well. I started with an Epicuran Facial with Kristen and let me tell you, it was amazing! First and foremost the atmosphere of the entire spa is very relaxing when you enter but to top it off, in the facial room, you lay in a very cozy heated bed and there is nice relaxing music playing which just makes the experience that much more calming. And Kristen did an awesome job! She has such a sweet disposition and was letting me know what the steps would do for my skin as she went along. My favorite part of the facial was probably the tightening mask. It feels so nice and when we were done my skin looked and felt absolutely renewed. Plus Kristen gives you a little shoulder and arm massage while the mask is on. I would do that facial every day if I could. After my facial I saw Mari for some filler in my lips and liquid rhinoplasty in my nose. I have always hated my top lip as it is so skinny and kind of just disappears when I smile. And my nose has one of those very large bumps in the middle instead of just being straight down. Let me tell you, I never really thought that just getting a little filler in your lip could make such a difference! I was absolutely amazed by the results and they show up instantly. Mari was incredible! She made sure that I was comfortable and explained everything that she was doing as she went along. My liquid rhinoplasty was an awesome subtle change to my nose as well. I walked out of the spa feeling completely rejuvenated. I loved all my results. And...the best part was my sister and I had plans to go out that night and I was still able to do so and I felt and looked amazing! I can't say enough good things about the entire staff at Blue Water. Everyone was so accommodating and sweet from the time I walked in the door till the time I walked out. If you are looking for a spa to take care of your needs, put your trust in Blue Water. You won't regret it!

Breast Lift with Implants

shanonschneider67

My Experience Far Exceeded My Expecations

At 48 years of age and after loosing 30+ pounds, I quickly noticed the affects of time and weight loss to my breasts. They were "droopy" and to me very unattractive. I spoke with a few of my friends who had similar procedures but who also had "not so pleasant experiences" with such procedures. My husband and I very carefully researched Dr.'s in the area and given the reviews of Blue Water Spa and the close proximity of their office to our home, we decided to consult with Dr. Law. My consultation confirmed my thoughts in terms of the benefits of a breast lift. Of course, a consideration to having some implants was also discussed :-). Dr. Law was extremely professional, his team very cordial and they all made me feel even better about moving forward with my procedure under this team. Decision was quick and to my surprise, I was able to slip into a surgery spot where another patient had to cancel. However, this was may biggest fear...surgery and the pain that I might have to endure following my procedure. Dr. Law assured me that I would be up and about in a few days and have little to no "pain". During prep for surgery, I couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable. The team was welcoming, reassuring and stood to calm all my fears. I was assured that I would be made as comfortable as possible. Sure enough, they were 100% correct. Surgery went off without a hitch, had no pain day one, two or three and was up and doing daily walks in my neighborhood by day four. Not for one moment did I take any pain meds and not for one moment did I experience any "major" discomfort. This was such a critical element to me. I am in month 4 of recovery and couldn't be happier with my results. I was a mid to full size B and now, I am a full size C. While I am still in the healing process, my husband and I are thrilled with the results and Dr. Law says it only gets better from here. This team is incredible...from the staff that greets you upon arrival, the assistants and nurses and Dr. Law himself. He truly works with you to give you the best results. He is a perfectionist and takes pride in patient satisfaction as does his team.

Beautiful and Natural Botox Results Done Professionally!!! - Raleigh, NC

I am beyond thrilled with my experience at Blue Water Spa/Michael Law MD! I came in for Botox and was very nervous as it was my first time. As soon as I walked in I was immediately soothed by the serene atmosphere there. The soft music, pristine waiting area and enormous waterwall all made me feel like I had stepped into Heaven! I was greeted right away by a beautiful girl who was very inviting and professional. Next the nurse injector came to get me for my treatment. She also was very beautiful and right away made me feel relaxed with her confidence. Once we were in the room she went over everything you need to know about Botox and answered ALL of my questions. I never felt rushed or pressured to sign and start treatment quickly. She made sure I understood everything and was comfortable before starting. She even gave me the estimated number of units per area so I had an idea of the total cost before starting the injection. When I told her I wanted to start with a smaller number of units and see my results before just jumping in and doing it all she agreed and then helped me to determine areas of priority. She also told me that she always starts conservatively and then schedules a follow up for 2 weeks later in order to touch up any area needing more units or complete areas not done in the first treatment. I was so thrilled she didn't try to convince me to do it all and I felt like I was in control, no pressure. Also the fact that she takes time out of her schedule to see her clients for follow ups when they don't always result in additional units further proves she genuinely has my interests in mind and isn't just after my money. The injection itself only took 10 minutes and was so EASY!!! She then walked me to the checkout desk where yet again I was warmly greeted by a beautiful girl who helped me checkout and get a follow up appointment scheduled. There were no surprises when checking out everything was just as discussed in the room. Overall my experience was unparalleled. I loved everything about Blue Water Spa. I felt so comfortable not only because of the soothing atmosphere but because I knew I was in good hands with people who really know what they are doing and love doing it! Everyone made me feel like I was the only client there! If I could spend everyday there I would. I look forward to going back very soon for my follow up visit and to schedule appointments for all of their other great treatments like Laser Hair Removal, Chemical Peels, CoolSculpting and Fillers! Thank you Blue Water Spa for being an ethical business and making my experience so wonderful!

Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal is Helping Me Recover Time I Lost Taking Care of This Horrible Problem - Raleigh, NC

Change is always hard. I always say the hard part isn’t getting what you want it’s figuring it out. There are a lot of things women do to feel more comfortable with whom they are and will often go to great lengths to get there. We often assume that changing our appearance in a big way is a drastic measure with expensive possibilities and unknown consequences. In recent months I had been thinking about how I can spend less time in the mirror, look better and have a more time in my day. When I think about what I spend a lot of time doing in the mirror it’s often things that could be forever eliminated by a treatment or procedure. I finally decided to do something about everything I was dealing with on a daily basis. Every day the first thing I do when I get up is look for the chin, upper lip, neck hair and peach fuzz on my cheek. Then I proceed to spend about 45 minutes getting every hair, squeezing out every black follicle and massaging lotion so as to not get too swollen. Then I put on a ton of face cream, concealer (different ones for my dark dark circles, age spots, and plucked hair spots), and then the rest of my make up (don’t get me started on my hair). It’ something I have been resigned to and it had gotten to the point that I just didn’t want to think about how much time I was wasting so I didn’t think of alternatives past the 45 minute morning mirror routine. Then, as fate would have it I had the opportunity to be a part of some procedures to improve the things that I was constantly battling against in the morning. Not only would they offer a permanent solution to the morning change, but also the promise of more time in my life to perform everything I needed to do during the day. After careful consideration I decided the first procedure I wanted to try was Laser Hair Removal. Now, I have attempted this one other time in Florida and it was much different than the experience I had at Blue Water Spa. First off, you don’t feel like you’re walking into a medical spa- you feel like you’re walking into nirvana. Their wall of water cascading down a hue of blue in the background sounds like a waterfall on top of everything being extremely clean serene. There was no glaring pop music with the immediate inundation of services and sales people; just two receptionist that were smiling (one was even speaking on the phone and you could see she was smiling in hopes the person on the other line would feel it). I gave my information to the receptionist that was not on the phone and she took my name and asked if I needed anything while I waited for my consultation. I said no and wondered over to the waiting area. In the waiting area it was small but comfortable and they had a pitcher with cucumber, lemon, and mint water. Now, I don’t know about you but anything other than luke warm water out of a dispenser is a welcome change for me. I was not waiting long before a lovely Nurse Practitioner escorted me to a consultation area where she proceeded to ask me a number of questions to see if I was a good “candidate”. I didn’t understand at first, but apparently there are people who are not good candidates. I then found out that some laser hair removal places do not counsel because if you can pay for it it’s your decision to try it. Who are they to stop you? Well Blue Water Spa takes their patients (because you are not just a consumer) very seriously. She informed me of how certain medications can affect the treatment, took my medical history very seriously, and explained to me the frequency with which the laser hair removal would happen and about how many treatments I might need. The real difference was that she treated me like a patient and not just a patron. Before the encounter I did not know any of the important information and certainly no one mentioned anything at my first laser hair removal appointment at the first establishment I had gone to in Florida. After my consultation I went and saw Leanne, a licensed technician approved to perform Laser Hair Removal. She was very thorough. She informed me that before each treatment I would need to shave (but since I hadn’t she was nice enough to do it for me), and explained the procedure to me. She said that it was bit like a mini firecracker on your skin followed by a special DCD dynamic cooling device that is the ONLY cooling device that provides consistent cooling from the first pulse to the last. No cooling system is safer or provides a more comfortable treatment. The treatment itself took about 5 minutes and was easy and didn’t hurt nearly as much as my first encounter. Although I did have an involuntary flinch every time the laser struck (even though it hurt a lot less than waxing, which is normally the reaction I have) it was never painful. Afterwards Leanne put a soothing lotion on my skin and said I could put my makeup back on in the bathroom. She was very patient and helpful through the entire encounter. When I walked back to the receptionist area the women booked me for an appointment in 5 weeks and I was able to leave with out any hassle. For a few days after I did not see any hair grow back but the little hairs eventually started invading the space again. I was told it would take anywhere from 5-8 treatments to get rid of the pesky hair for good. It’s already paid off by giving me a few days off in the mirror plucking and picking. I can’t even imagine what it will be like for good. Overall I would rate my experience out of 1-10 a 10. It was easy and when I was there I was the most important person they were dealing with, which is not always the case. Blue Water Spa is the kind of spa people talk about when they want a “spa day” or a place to “relax” and get top-notch treatment. I would recommend laser hair removal in general if you were having the exact same overall experience I did at Blue Water Spa. If you aren’t treated that way, make another appointment at Blue Water Spa where they are there for you and not the other way around.

Here's Hoping! - Raleigh, NC

I'm 39. No matter how much weight I lose, I still have that dang pudge on my lower abs. I've lost 83+ pounds and I'm as close to my ideal body weight as I can but DARN THAT PUDGE! I read all of the reviews - thanks to everyone on this site - and thought that I'd rather go this route than getting cut... Debbie answered all - and more - of my questions & gave me the honest truth. When & where there would be pain & what type of results there would be - or not be. I appreciate the honesty more than anything. I had the procedure last Friday. Suction was no problem, cooling was no problem. Massage afterward - HOLY HECK!! That hurt but it increases the results so I went for it. The wrap afterward helped a lot & I was back on the street 30 minutes after I was done. As you can see by my pics, I had a big pudge so more than just my lower abs were suctioned into the machine. Debbie said I was an ideal candidate because my skin was so plyable & the fat sat so close to the skin. Here's hoping. As of today, I'm tender & numb - kinda crazy feeling but okay. Like others my belly button is sore & the area below my lower abs are tender but nothing that bothers me too much. I'm way more comfortable in a girdle - yes just like my Mom wears - but it helps with the jiggling so I'm doing it. I have been active but I'll admit, I'm sore. Some slight cramping but as a woman, its nothing! More info to follow! Updated on 30 Oct 2013: Day 4: So Monday was a little tough. Stupid me wore a girlde that was too small considering I was swollen however the sitting all day is what killed me. I had to wear the compression belt from the appointment to bed but it wasn't that bad. Certainly not bad enough to take meds. Day 5: I broke down & took a few aleve & 2 Tylenol PM to sleep. Just the compression belt for the day with a cami but I thought i was going to go mad. Once I took the belt, etc off at home & spread out to watch the tube, I was fine. No belt to bed but sleeping on my stomach helped. Day 6: So much better however the numbing, pricks & needles is going away but the stabbing is getting worse. Not enough for meds but the day is young. Here's hoping! Updated on 1 Nov 2013: It was one week ago that I had the procedure and, while it was touch-and-go for a few days, I'm happy I did it. Obviously no difference in look (although my boyfriend-bless his heart-was nice enough to say that he saw a difference...great guy he is!) it made me very aware of what I was eating this week etc. I certainly do not want to have to do this too many more times. I'm considering getting a follow up procedure done in January which will be 10 weeks after the original procedure (8 weeks is right when I leave for Christmas vacation) just to see if i can do a little more before summer gets here. Pain is at a 3 today however when I get stabbed, I GET STABBED! Note to self: don't wear heals a lot to work. Its killing me. Updated on 5 Nov 2013: I finally found the ticket! I tried Advil...no luck. I tried Aleve...no luck. I tried Midol...absolutely nothing. Here's the magic recipe: Tylenol Extra Strength (500mg) + Icy Hot lotion+large size girdle (I'm a medium in normal clothes)! Worked like a charm! (note: I over worked on Thursday-Friday-Saturday) Those three days almost put me over the edge. I don't know if i hit the trifecta or what but the combination of house work, laundry, yard work, grocery shopping, wearing heels, etc. almost killed me. I was seriously regretting the procedure espeically since I was super swollen (absolutely no jeans even my fat pair) and in so much pain. Worse part: I was constipated from being so tense. Not good. Once I figured out the problem, the solutions was simple & effective: Smooth move tea+Tylenol Extra Strength+Icy Hot lotion+large size girdle . As of yesterday afternoon, I was good to go. I still have a tinge every once in a while but NOTHING like last week. I am checking my calendar now to see when I can schedule the second procedure before I go on Christmas vacation. Woo hoo! I have no new pics but i'm taking some this weekend. Updated on 12 Nov 2013: It's been a little more than 2 weeks since the procedure. 99% of the pain has gone away however I get a sharp stab maybe once per day. Nothing like last week or the week before. I'm going back in 2 weeks to get 4 week pics taken to help determine if i need a second treatment. If I do need the next treatment, then I am ready...if not, good for me! I will admit that finding the way to reduce the pain makes the possibility of a second treatment bearable. My family & friends (boyfriend) see a difference however I don't which is not surprising. I will post new pics as soon as i get them! Updated on 22 Nov 2013: I'm 4 weeks out from the procedure so,hopefully, I will start seeing some results soon. Obviously, since I see myself everyday, its truly hard for me to tell if there is a difference but I'm going to have my boyfriend take some pics this weekend to share. Fingers crossed! By the way, I'm still a little numb-since it kinda feels funky at this point, I was rubbing my belly the other day & didn't realize how long I was rubbing it - WOO HOO! What a funky feeling afterward! Have a good one! Updated on 22 Nov 2013: Came home tonight to my special man saying "wow babe! That freezing thing you did really worked!" So the pics are finally here. Let me know what you think... Updated on 1 Apr 2014: At 15 weeks I went back to Blue Water Spa where I had the original treatment done to have them take pictures...I wanted to make sure someone else saw what I did. Did they say that 20% of the fat cells would die? They lied. Mine was closer to 35-40%! Crazy. I had them do another lower treatment (big applicator) plus they did a half price upper abs since it was such a small area. I can't wait to show the after pics of the second treatment too. Enjoy!
