43 Yrs Old, Drainless TT, W/O Lipo. Wife, Mom of 4, (2 C-Sections). 04/25/16-Let the Journey Beginnnnn..... - Arlington, TX

I've been contemplating getting a TT for some time. I've prayed, researched, & had a couple of consults. I met with & decided to go with Dr.Y Anthony Nakamura at Accent on You in Arlington, Tx. Although the consult seemed a bit rushed, I was pleased with his knowledge & pleasantness of his staff. I also give "RealSelf" credit in assisting with the comfort of my decision. I was able to reach out and talk with others who have already had services performed with this office. I feel like they were "Real" in their responses and most of all SUPPORTIVE! I would someday like to compete in a Professional Figure Competition & by me getting this abdominoplasty, without liposuction, it gets me a step closer. I try to eat clean & workout at least 5 days a week, which I hope will assist in my recovery. I have been Blessed to have the support of my Husband and family. My Surgery is scheduled for 04/25/16. I will have my Pre-Op on 04/04/16. As the days get closer I find myself becoming more and more excited & nervous. I am even starting to have dreams about the surgery & recovery (smh). As I start my journey and begin this countdown, I look forward to using this site as a tool to journal and keeping you updated with details. I wish everyone of you the Best! Updated on 27 Mar 2016: And the countdown continues... 29 Days, 00 Hours, 36 Minutes, and 48 Seconds until my NewTummy!!! (: Updated on 11 Apr 2016: Nerves and Excitement are on edge...Two weeks away, from today! Updated on 22 Apr 2016: Hey There Ladies! Well, it's almost about that TIME...Yikes(-: My Tummy Tuck is scheduled for this Monday, 04/25/16. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I have my confidence in the LORD that ALL will go well. Your Prayers are Appreciated!!!! Updated on 26 Apr 2016: Hello Ladies! I have OFFICIALLY made it to the Flat & SEXY Side - lol. My surgery went absolutely well. Thanks for all of your prayers and support. I was so impressed with my PS and staff. When I spoke with The anesthesiologist, Michael, he wanted me to know that he'd prayed for me the night before... That Really Blessed me. (: Updated on 26 Apr 2016: Preparations... meals have been prepared for the week, got my wedge pillow, and meds are on deck Updated on 27 Apr 2016: My 1st shower was horrible. My husband did his best to help. I probably should have gotten a shower seat. Of course I'm still a little swollen, but I'm already pleased with the results. Updated on 29 Apr 2016: Today is POD 4. I have my 1st PO Appt, on Mon (5/2/16). I'm standing about 85% straight up. Very sore, but making sure I walk often (Not Long), eating protein, drinking plenty of water, & taking my vitamins. Updated on 30 Apr 2016: A little Swollen, but not Too bad for POD 5. Updated on 2 May 2016: Today was my 1week Post-Op visit. It went exceptionally well, Praise GOD! (: My PS and Nurse were really impressed with my 7 day Post Op results. BB and Incision healing great. I'm to return in 10days. Updated on 7 May 2016: Post Op Day 12... Some swelling and a little gas, but All in All - No Regrets! Updated on 11 May 2016: I am 2 1/2weeks Post Op and I wear my garment 99% of the time. I have two different compression garments that I switch between. One has more coverage than the other. Updated on 14 May 2016: Hello RS Fam! So, I'm 2 1/2 weeks out. My PS removed my Surgical Steri Strips and said that I'm ready to start scar treatment. He wants me to massage the scar area at least twice daily, so that it will soften up. The massaging was a little uncomfortable at first, but it's getting better. My scar is very low and conspicuously hidden under my undies (: I am very pleased!!!! *And I Love his signature, Diamond/ "Y" - shaped Belly Button (: Updated on 21 Mar 2018: It’s been almost 2years since I had my Tummy Tuck. I am more than Pleased!!! Now I’m prepping to have a Breast Lift with Silicone Implants. I was undecided in 2016, so decided to wait. Now, I’m Ready???? Real Self was an Awesome Support for my Abdominalplasty and that’s why I’ve returned to this forum for my Breast procedure. Going with my same surgeon- Dr. Y. Anthony Nakaruma ?? him and his staff!! I am looking forward to posting as well as input from others. Updated on 11 May 2022: I had my TT in 2016 and my Breast Lift w/Augmentation in 2018. Things are going really well & I’m STILL Very Happy with my results. Keep in mind that I’m doing my part in taking care of my investment. I’ll be 50 y/o in 6mos and plan to look Phenomenal!????

33 - Year Old Single Mother of Three - Finally Got an AB - Arlington, TX

I had been waiting to do a BA for years! 15 years to be exact! Two of my friends recommended Dr. Nakamura at Accent on You in Texas. Dr. Nakamura did an exceptional job. I couldn't be happier with my results; however, my recovery has been extremely painful. At 4 weeks post-op, I started experiencing excruciating cramping on my right breast, so excruciating, I felt like making a run to the ER. I lost many hours of sleep. I had to sit upright the entire night to make it somewhat bearable. Only Valium would soothe the pain, but opted to stick with Advil for the sake of not feeling groggy in the morning. I addressed the issue to my PS twice, and he reassured me it was normal. I couldn't understand how that kind of pain was normal, but he reassured me it was. There was no capsular contracture. I am 4'10, 95 lbs, and was flat chested before the surgery. I could not even fill an "A" cup. For my body frame, I felt that 300 CCs would be more than enough for me still look natural, and it was! I love my breasts, but i never expected so much pain! It began from the bottom of the breast, then it radiated to the sides, and finally, around the areola. I suppose the pain makes sense since I was so flat and had very minimal fat to begin with. My skin is so stretched, the nerves are extremely irritated, and it was causing extreme cramping. Now I am 2 months post-op, and the cramping has subsided, although I still get shooting pains and some mild cramping from time to time. Has anyone else experienced this? I researched online but found very little information on this particular problem. Updated on 30 Jul 2014: I got these today and....WOW!! I was thinking I got them too small but the pictures show otherwise ;)

63 year old Grandma - "It's never too late!"

I have wanted a TT since I was 33 years old, after giving birth to my 4th child. My wonderful husband has supported me since my decision to "Go for it.!" I chose Dr. Nakamura in Arlington, Tx. even though my daughter had a beautiful TT by a surgeon in Dallas, I had to follow my own heart. Upon meeting Dr Nakamura, his wonderful staff and viewing his facility which includes his own surgical center, I knew he was the guy. He was very pleasant, mild mannered and very thorough in his explanation of the procedure and what I could expect. Updated on 7 May 2017: I am reluctantly adding my before photos and can hardly wait to add my after pics. I have always had a tummy but as I approached my 60s it got progressively worse. Sitting on my couch in the evenings, I was beginning to realize I had a mountain sitting on my lap. I am a very healthy and active person by the way. Updated on 7 May 2017: I am 5'5" and weigh 149 pounds Updated on 12 May 2017: I wanted to be sure and put before pics of me with clothes so when I get to the flat side I'll be able to ck out the diff. I know I still have a lot of back fat, but hey, like in my initial statement: I'll will be ecstatic just to have a lap for my grandkids -ONLY! Updated on 30 May 2017: I will let you know how it goes. At 9:00 am I'm laying my money down. It's for real! This has been the longest wait EVER! I feel like the next 13 days until my surgery (June 12) will go by pretty fast because I will have my 2 grandsons for approximately a week. That will help with the time factor. I am excited to see and spend time with them. Ok, later. Going to preop???????? Updated on 7 Jun 2017: I'm laying in bed (Wed night, June 7) thinking about the calm that has come over me. During this time of waiting. I have gone through so many phases: excitement, anxiousness, fearing, "What if I wake up during surgery." Watching live videos of actual TTs where I learned the extent of a TT (wow)! I have looked over100s of before and afters wondering,"Will I look like that?" I've Saved several "Most Like Me." I've went the full gammet of thoughts and emotions. Finally I have come to that place where, "I'm going to turn out the way I'm going to turn out." I have complete confidence in Dr Nakamura to put his best foot forward and to make me look the best that he can make me look. He is very consciences and does extremely great work - he's an artist! Looking forward to Monday morning, the 12th of June - I'm going to get the tummy I have always dreamed of having. Updated on 9 Jun 2017: 3 more days! So busy that it's flying by. Updated on 11 Jun 2017: Tomorrow morning and it is, "bye bye, baby!" I will waking up with all my new friends on the flat side of town!! I will send post op real soon???????? Updated on 13 Jun 2017: Arrived at Accent on You at 7:10, was taken back at about 7:20 to be prepped, anestiologist came in to introduce himself, asked if I had any questions for him and then told me he had prayed for me - yay??Right after that I went into the surgery area, they layed me down and the next thing u know I was being woke up. My husband and Grandaughter were there received after care instructions for me and then drove me home. The evening flew by. Pain levels about a 4 out of 10. I felt very really well and was in great caring hands. Updated on 13 Jun 2017: Updated on 13 Jun 2017: I added a before pic of before front view and the recovery chair I rigged which by the way works great - comfy Updated on 14 Jun 2017: FYI just wanted to say that day 2 I did great. However by evening I was really hurting! Pain pills, at that point only took the edge off. Sleeping in my "Recovery Rig" was a really nice relief. That "rig" has become my comfort zone. This morning after taking my 5:00am pill I am feeling much better. My pain level has decreased probably to a 5. Said all of that to say "cool it!" Just do your walking and don't try to be Wonder Woman???? U end up paying the price???? I will post some pics in a bit. Updated on 14 Jun 2017: Front view Updated on 19 Jun 2017: I'm a bruiser guys! I always bruise easily but u can still appreciate Dr Nakamura's great work! Updated on 25 Jun 2017: Sorry, this is it! Not much change after just 2 weeks. I'll take some more at 1 mo. PO. Updated on 5 Jul 2017: I had to add front view for added appreciation of this beautiful Tummy Tuck where lipo was NOT included! Updated on 23 Jul 2017: Go for my 6 weeks check up Thursday. Hoping I will hear that I can clean my house, do yard work, clean my car etc, etc.....It was totally worth it from beginning to now, even tho everything is piling up. I will post my last set of pics as soon as my granddaughter comes again: front and side views. Thanks to all who followed. Updated on 2 Sep 2017:

Mommy Makeover

SillyMomTo3

Time to do something for me!

Wife, mom to 3. 5ft 135lbs. 36A breast. I have had weight issues my entire life. With my youngest(6) I gained 90lbs. Being short, it went all to my stomach. I look like I'm melting. With up/down weight issues my breast shrank and went away. I give my all to my family and friends. It's time to do something for me! Updated on 31 Jul 2013: Forgot to post what procedures I'm doing. I'm getting a TT, BA (425CC Silicon) and lipo onthe flank area. Getting excited and nervous. Updated on 4 Aug 2013: Surgery is scheduled in t-8 1/2 hrs! Omg! I'm so excited and scarred at the same time! Staying with my sister, so I had to pack for 4 since my hubby is deployed. This is gonna be a surprise for him when he gets home! Yikes! Yes he knows about it but I will be healed and standing straight by the time he gets home next year. I'm ready to join the flat side! Updated on 5 Aug 2013: I did it! I can't wait to see my tummy. I'm wrapped in a binder and bandages. I'm in so much pain, it's horrible! It stinks to walk around but I know it's all worth it. My chest feels like I have a 10lb weight on it. Pain meds are that great. Still painful! Felt nauseous but put ear buds in and turned up the volume and it has made the feeling go away! I highly recommend doing that, it vibrates your eardrums and helps with equilibrium, music sends endorphins to your brain and no more nausea. Sitting here in my recliner. Was able to pee with no problems. Just in a lot of pain and discomfort. I keep telling myself. It will be worth it! It will be worth it! Beauty is pain and boy I better be gorgeous after all of this! Haha! Updated on 6 Aug 2013: Had an okay nights rest. Valium and pain pill helped but still in massive pain. My body throbs. Haven't had a bm yet and I'm scarred to. I did a prune juice cleanse the night before. Highly recommend that! The back pain is only because of being hunched over to walk. I also went on muscle milk only for 2days prior to surgery and I'm glad I did that. I don't regret this surgery even with all of the pain. I'm thinking of the end goal and how I will feel better about myself. And the confidence that will follow. Updated on 6 Aug 2013: Dr.Nakamura was amazing. He came in and did my markings. Checked on me while I was waiting for surgery. Great bed side manner too. His staff was wonderful. Very sweet and made me feel so comfortable. Everyone did a great job and I highly recommend Accent on you for your cosmetic surgery wants. He came highly recommended by so many people and I'm glad I took their advice. Updated on 6 Aug 2013: Oh the pain is awful! My breast hurt and feel engorged. My arms are so week. My tummy is killing me. Hurts to walk but I have to walk so I don't get blood clots. I think Day 2 has been worse than day 1. My breast are still so high but my tummy is flat. Hopefull they will settle soon. Updated on 7 Aug 2013: When I stand, it feels like gravity is pulling everything down and out. Posts of pressure on my chest. My lipo area hurts so much as do the muscle tightening area in the middle. Started taking 2 hydrocodone because I'm in awful pain. I've had a 10lb baby naturally and this doesn't compare. I'd rather have another baby! I know in my heart all of this pain will bs worth it once I heal completely. Falling asleep, will update more later Updated on 7 Aug 2013: Couldn't resist so I took a peek at my stomach. I'm so happy I could cry. All of this pain is completely worth it! I've been waiting for this day for 10 years! Thank you God! Updated on 7 Aug 2013: I forgot to add, I have no drains! No tubes that are in the way! I had a great PS! Updated on 8 Aug 2013: The pain is not as bad as day one and two. Still feel lots if piling from gravity when I stand up. Sleeping in a recliner kills my back. My implants are riding high near my collar bone. Anyone else experience this? I wish they would just drop already so I can see the sized ill be. Updated on 8 Aug 2013: DON'T COUGH, DON'T SNEEZE and Don't clear your throat! OMG!i feel like someone stabbed me! Updated on 9 Aug 2013: Woke up coughing! Oh the pain that it causes in your stomach. Felt like spasms. I can get out of my recliner by myself to go to the restroom. I still shuffle when I walk because I'm scared ill damage something if I go any faster. I'm taking Tylenol now instead of the pain meds. Gonna save those for bad day. Valium helps me sleep wish I had more of those. No bM yet. I'm scarred to go. Been taking my stool softener just in case. I only drink muscle milk, water, protein bars or unsalted saltine crackers. I don't have much of an appetite. With time, things do get better, just remain positive and hopeful . This time next month, you'll forget about all of this pain and torture. Updated on 9 Aug 2013: Waking so slow and sleeping all day long. I'm a mother of three, this is not normal! Getting so bored but I know it'll be worth it. Updated on 11 Aug 2013: I'm feeling so much better. My breast are still pretty high. My tummy doesn't hurt as much. The lipo areas still are very sore. Overall I'm moving around much better. Still sleeping in my recliner. Eating only crackers and muscle milk and taking my multivitamin. Prune juice has help tremulously. My low back pain could be due to constipation or just being hunched over. Showed my Huaband via Skpye, since he's in the war. He was very happy and excited for me. Thankful for his support. My stomach is flat, my breast are full and my husband is excited. Total pain, total cost, total recovery, completely happy= Totally worth it! Updated on 11 Aug 2013: Updated on 14 Aug 2013: Oh the back pain! My low back is killing me from hunching over so much! The heating pad is helping. My breast have moved much and the PS said to not massage them. I just want to feel normal again! Updated on 14 Aug 2013: Updated on 18 Aug 2013: By day 11 I was feeling better. Good enough to go to my daughter's soccer tourney in another state. Don't get me wrong, I walked a bit slow and became tired by the end of the day. My low back still hurts, prolly from trying so hard to stand straight! Haha! I love my new body and don't regret anything!
