I got a deep clean. Laser treatment as well. I was told due to orthodontic treatment my bones have weakened in my 2 front teeth, and need to see a gum specialist. Chemotherapy also stained my 2 front teeth. And medicine I'm drinking at the moment for Seizures could be a side affect and give me gum disease.
There is some bone loss due to some surgery I had 4 years ago to bring that one (adult) tooth down. I had braces and lost my retainers so It moved lower and back. Because of the tooth's bone loss, a periodontic that I saw recommended not to get Invisalign because the force of the pushing would leave me with no bone holding the tooth, which will then fall out. I dont know what else to do. I dont want to get implants, I dont want any more surgerys. Is there another way?
I am diagnosed with chronic periodontitis and bone loss. My dentist said the disease is going from stage 2 to 3 out of 5. He also said its gonna scale down stage 0 after the treatment and i am not gonna lose my teeths. I was considering some kind of thin veneers on my two front teeths without drilling my teeths. how safe they are in this condition?
Due to years on steroids, my bone density dropped and my teeth took a beating. I brush 3 times a day, floss etc, but it hasn't saved them. I now also have serious discolouration. I am I'm my mid 30's and thinking veneers. I don't want them to shave my teeth (I know somewhat unavoidable), but am scared that this will cause long term sensativity as they are already sensitive to cold. I have an overbite white braces didn't fix (not major). My teeth are kept straight by using a retainer at night.
My gums above the 6 porcelain veneers are red, swollen with chronic inflammation. I went back to the dentist who performed the dental veneers and was told to use a perio-rinse, and a salt water rinse. I went to a periodontist for a second opinion and was told that I should have a deep clean/laser clean and wait a month and if it does not settle down I will have to have surgery to correct the gums ( also found bone loss above one tooth). Should I just replace the veneers?
I have noticed people which have dental work sometimes look as if they have dentures? Bruce Jenner aka Caitlyn to name one or name two to be politically correct. Is it due to lack of bone? Seems to me their mouths sink in somewhat. Personally, I want veneers but do not care to look as if I have dentures. Thanks Docs!
I have gum disease and bone loss at the stage 2 to 3. My dentist said it is gonna be stage 0 after treatment and i am not gonna lose my teeths. I am considering to get very thin veneers on my two front teeths without drilling my teeths. how safe it is?
