This is a transgender patient (male to female) in her early 30s who came to Dr. Katzen for a tracheal shave (also known as shaving of the Adams apple). Many transgender patients come in for this procedure when wanting a more feminine look. Dr. Katzen makes a tiny horizontal incision in the fold of the neck to then reduce the trachea. This patient was very happy with her results and smooth neck. She paired this procedure with breast augmentation with silicone implants.
