I performed an ultrasonic rhinoplasty to reduce the dorsal hump/ This technique uses a device called a piezotome to sculpt the nasal bones and avoids hammers and chisels. This technique is more precise and enhances the recovery with reduced bruising and swelling. The tip needed supporting to correct a droopy tip. From the from view the bulbous tip has been refined and the dorsal irregularities refined.All of this is performed in a manner which suits her ethnicity and the final result softens her face whilst enhancing her beautiful facial features.

This gorgeous patient came to me from Arizona after a motor vehicle accident fractured her nose, leaving her with a crooked and raised dorsum.I performed dorsal inversion and straightened her bridge with osteotomies and a left spreader graft.However, her tip cartilages are tricky. Scroll through to see the frontal pre-op picture and you can see the tip cartilages are bulbous and seem to point up along the nose rather than out towards the nostrils.This can't be softened with suture techniques or underlays. Instead, I freed the lateral crura from their attachments and reinserted them into pockets along the nostril rim.The see-through splints you can see on the sides of her nose help to keep those repositioned cartilages in place, and also reduce swelling.

This 50 year old woman is 5'2 tall and weighs 115 pounds. She felt the shape of her nose did not fit the rest of her face and disliked the bags and lines of her lower eyelids.
