	This 37 year old gentleman presented with Norwood Class 5 Male Pattern Baldness in May of 2012, requesting surgical hair restoration. We discussed several options but because of his complexion, hair color and coarseness, we carefully chose a conservative design consisting of #1000 densely packed single hair grafts to the hairline and #1917 follicular units more posterior. The results shown are at 10 months. The final, tightly cropped photo (as well as the intra operative and marked photos) illustrate a recreated, natural, blended hairline-the result of both preserving his native frontal forelock as well as carefully supplementing it with ultra fine grafts.


New York City Hair Transplant.  37 Year Old Male.

This 44-year-old man underwent a follicular unit transplantation (FUT) session with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley in which a total of 3389 grafts were placed. Three unique elements combined to help improve his experience: no-shave requirement for optimal discretion, enhanced graft storage measures, and rigid patient safety standards.  As with all of Dr. Wesleys patients, he was NOT required to cut his hair for the procedure.  As a result, this patient was able to return comfortably to work and social activities within approximately 7-10 days of his procedure. The patients hair follicles were incubated in platelet rich plasma (PRP) throughout the duration of the procedure.  This, combined with an ATP-containing storage solution has been shown to enhance survival of transplanted hairs.

	This is a 47 year old African American male who presented with Androgenic Alopecia which was unresponsive to medical therapy. We had an extensive preoperative discussion about the progressive nature of his hair loss and together we formulated a design. He underwent a follicular unit transplant and we harvested 2700 grafts from a 30 cm donor strip which was closed primarily. Because of the curly nature of his hair we carefully dissected 800 of the smallest grafts and utilized them within the anterior hairline. The remaining 1900 grafts were gently inserted, recreating a natural hairline.

This patient aimed to rebuild his hairline that was receding and add overall density. Dr. Wise performed an FUE hair transplant and PRP Hair Therapy on this patient, during which he placed2,510 grafts to zone 1 of the patient's scalp.

This 46-year-old patient wanted to restore his hairline and add overall density. Dr. Wise performed an FUE hair transplant, placing 3,020 grafts on zones 1 and 2 of the patient's scalp. Additionally, he performed a session of PRP to fortify the follicles and expedite the healing process.
