This 7-year-old patient was being bothered at school due to her ears. She wore her hair down as often as possible to avoid ridicule from classmates. Her mother brought her to see Dr. Malhotra for an ear pinning or otoplasty consultation.

Dr. Malhotra examined her and noted that she had a very common presentation with a protruding cup portion of the ear and the under-development of one of the folds of the ear. The patient underwent a short procedure to reshape her ears. Her dressing was removed one day post-operative.
