We rolled out the red carpet for this lovely patient! As we age, our skin loses its fight with gravity and drooping can impact us in different areas, so its not a one-size-fits-all packaging. For this patient, her aging was focused down the center of her face rather than down the jowls, which tends to be most common in women. So for her, Dr Woodman went with a Brow lift to focus on the eyes to brighten and lighten the center focal point, then give her a strong chin before using his signature Deep Plane Facelift technique to set her face and neck lift, aligning her muscular structure flawlessly so her skin is not stretched unnaturally.Typically, our after photos for facelift patients are taken after six months, because as you will see, this patient still has some swelling (the face can take up to twelve months to fully heal!!!), but she is SO pleased with her results she wanted us to show off Dr Woodman's work now.

Our patient is a 75-year-old White male who came to Dr. Timothy Katzen because the loose, hanging skin beneath his chin and along his neck had become increasingly noticeable with age. He felt the extra neck skin made him look older than he felt and wanted a smoother, more refined profile. To address this concern, Dr. Katzen performed a neck lift, also known as a lower rhytidectomy, under general anesthesia. A neck lift is designed to improve the necks contour by removing excess skin, tightening the underlying tissues, and restoring a firmer transition from the jawline into the neck. During surgery, Dr. Katzen carefully planned the incisions to be placed in natural creases and around the ears whenever possible. The loose neck skin was elevated, the deeper tissues were tightened to improve support, and the excess skin was trimmed away in a controlled manner. This allows the neck to look smoother without appearing overly tight or unnatural. In patients with aging neck changes, a lower rhytidectomy can reduce the appearance of sagging skin, improve the neck angle, and create a cleaner side profile. The incisions were then closed in layers to support healing and help scars mature as discreetly as possible. These photos were taken 2 and a half years after surgery, and his results remain remarkable and sustained, showing a smoother neck contour, less hanging skin, and a more youthful appearance that has held up beautifully over time.
