Alastin is a clinically tested, medical-grade skincare brand, offering 16 skincare products for both face and body.

Designed to be used as part of a daily skincare regimen, or before and after in-office aesthetic procedures, Alastin products address fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, redness, irritation, and uneven skin tone and texture. Their proprietary TriHex technology contains active peptides and a patent-pending blend of what they refer to as "synergistic ingredients."

The Alastin Skincare line includes two types of products.

Procedure Enhancement System

This line is formulated to help heal and protect skin following cosmetic procedures, including laser resurfacing, body contouring, liposuction, chemical peels, injectables, microneedling, and any energy-based facial rejuvenation or skin-tightening treatment.

Standout products from this line include their Transform Body Treatment, Soothe + Protect Recovery Balm, and Inhance Post-Injection Serum.

Restore & Renew

While it's largely recommended to help with the healing process and improve post-procedure results, Alastin also has products for everyday care to maintain healthy skin, such as their Gentle Cleanser and Renewal Retinol.

“The Alastin Restorative Skin Complex uses a proprietary TriHex peptide complex, which cleans the deeper layers of the skin, allowing for correction of sun damage while, at the same time, stimulating your skin to produce its own natural collagen and elastin—two proteins responsible for maintaining the firmness of the skin,” says Dr. Alex Eshagian, a physician in Encino, California.

This helps support the skin’s natural ability to rebuild while restoring the skin’s extracellular matrix, enhancing overall skin health.

“As a result, the skin becomes tighter and fine lines become less visible. For this reason, the Alastin Restorative Skin Complex is a perfect product to combine with fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane,” continues Dr. Eshagian. “The Alastin Restorative Skin Complex also contains potent antioxidants, to protect your skin from sun damage in order to maintain a youthful appearance.” The latter helps skin resist further damage.

“Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar reduces inflammation, and the 0.5% retinol gradually improves the responsiveness of your own skin cells,” says Dr. Lisa Vuich, a Windham, New Hampshire, physician, in a RealSelf Q&A.

Other popular Alastin skincare products from this line include the Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer, Restorative Eye Treatment, Restorative Neck Complex, and Hydratint Pro Mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF.

Pros

  • Alastin products are cruelty-free, paraben-free, and gluten-free.
  • Because the line is formulated to be gentle on post-procedure skin, it’s also ideal for those with sensitive skin or conditions like rosacea.
  • It can help speed up healing after ablative laser procedures that remove the top layer of skin. “In my practice, I use Alastin Regenerating Nectar plus my patented protocol, and I can get my patients to heal from a full ablative laser resurfacing procedure in five days,” says Dr. Josie L. Tenore, a Highland Park, Illinois, physician, in a RealSelf Q&A.
  • Multiple studies from the manufacturer have documented the efficacy of Alastin, paired with in-office aesthetic procedures.

Cons

  • It’s a relatively new skincare line, so not many RealSelf members have shared their experiences yet. (That said, those that have reviewed it give it a high Worth It rating.)
  • The products can be expensive, especially compared to drugstore skincare solutions.

  • Average Cost:
  • $275
  • Range:
  • $190 - $400

The price you pay will depend on the products you purchase. Individual products range in price from $40 to over $300.
